rich watarious , 01 Dec 2016So all the very good phones are becoming very expensive. Th... moreI like the fact that it's 1080p. Makes the huge battery last even longer. It's one of the best phones I've ever used. The 1080p looks sharp, and the colours are quite vibrant.
I'm hoping a custom vanilla android rom gets made for it, with better RAM management. That's the one knock I have. 4GB of RAM and I've never had more than 2.1GB available, even with all apps closed.

2. Infrared? You're making a big deal about that? It's a nice minor feature that is not really needed.
3. USB 3.1, yeah I agree with that. It should have been added.

Dearest people all the wise.A compete review is being published.Congratulations to Xiaomi for innovations!But IR,USB v 3.1,radio,has been forgotten to be written in its specifications!!!The $1300 gold plated one has no place in Asian,Latin America,Africa,India subcontinent,...but few wealthiest may buy it to show off!!!Even US and EU,and Russian markets may buy it for their museums,....So,dearest Xiaomi,regardless of any biased writing,still Mi Max could have been having now and future markets as Redmi Note 3 SD 650 with the rising selling points of 59 million units up to now has been proving the real true people's desires and wants,....!!!The greatest scientific suggestion: Continuation of Max with Mi Max2,Max3,Max4,...Redmi Note4,5,6,...all with SD 653,654,Plus NFC,IR,radio, for all worldwide markets of people!!Nevertheless,I congregate those having Mix wholeheartedly,..MY Factwriting is my Justice Rights.What about gsmArena,s releasing factwriting guidelines!!!?Answer:Yes!Omid12Omidvar,....

And even if it is launched,i doubt how many of us will appreciate. We (most of us Indians ,not all) consider price tag as a prime factor rather than the quality of stuff. With no FM tuner and lack of SD card, I don't think it would be that popular.
Add on to that with current scenario of demonitisation, no one will be willing to shell out white money for such gadget.

This phone is a very good piece of design with new direction. Though sharp tried first, but it is Xiaomi , which executed it effectively.
Xiaomi deserves appreciation and credit for this.
Better than those iPhone copy cats or WEIRDO design,who do weird stuff in the name of design.
I see someone challenging it's maths on screen to body ratio,someone commenting on its ceramic body, someone wailing over lack of FM tuner and good camera etc etc to no limits.
All of them fail to see the efforts and courage to try something new.
It's very easy to criticise someone, but I would say only one thing to those critiques - critisize only if you can do better than what is done. If you cannot do it better, you have no right to criticise.
Like it or hate it ,but definitely this one cannot be ignored.

I'm using the 6GB RAM 256GB ROM version in the New Jersey New York area and I have to say the phone is amazingly good. You really do not need an external SD card with this phone. An original 256GB MicroSD card costs over $200 today. The screen is so huge and the bezell-less design is visually very appealing. Definitely worth the price. An iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB ROM costs about the same if not more yet it is lacking on the stunning beauty and all specs of this phone except for the camera. Compare iPhone 7 Plus and Xiaomi Mi Mix side by side on this website and you will see what I mean. I therefore think that if millions of people can justify the iPhone, they should justify the Mi Mix even more. Oh, and you get gold on the phone which makes it an ornament. This phone is expensive because of its looks, specs, and very limited availability. That's what myself and everyone else who buys it will get. You can however opt for the nano version, which I think will be more appealing to most people due to its size. And also, this phone will probably retain a high resale value due to limited availability.

Undeniable that it is one of the best with unbelievable price tag of $1200 !!!Lack:No,infrared,no USB V.3.1,no external dedicated memory slot,....I just can hope for its success !!Why!!!?Following Apple policy is acceptable just for few in worldwide communities !!!Factwriting=Justice Rights,....

So all the very good phones are becoming very expensive. This phone looks promising but very expensive. It is not even QHD and not Amoled yet very expensive. Do consider every customer. 5'5 inches of this design will be great. The price will also come down for all to be able to afford it. Thank you.

Battery and camera should also be like 20-40 mp and 5500-6600 mAh respectively if they are increasing ram to 6gb. Waiting for another feature packed Xiaomi phone .......

I have been using it for 7 days now. I must confess, the wow factor that was really there at the beggining, faded a little bit, but hey, one gets easily used with good things.
I must say, it is a very good phone. Everything works smoothly and fast, slippery indeed, but with a transparent cover it's ok, without spoiling the beauty of the phone (the provided leather one is high quality, but a bit too thick).
Most important, the in - call volume and quality are not bad at all, as this was my main concern.
In conclusion, I am very, very satisfied.
One more thing: I didn't even try the MIUI interface, I am using Nova launcher from the beggining, which is very similar to the stock Android.
Battery is good too.
My only concern is that, if everyone else will follow this trend, there will be no more phone design. I know that this one is signed by Starck, but I fail to see any originality in design (except the lack of bezel and the rounded corners of the screen)
