You originally wrote "what part of Sharp did it first don't you get?" After I had already written "No it's not the first device with a chin but its the first beautiful design".

Now you're indirectly saying Sony copied Nokia but they didn't because of the unique design language? Have you looked at a Xperia XZ and Lumia 920 side by side?

The new Sharp device you're talking about is a prototype showcasing the new IGZO LCD. There's a live video of a MIX prototype on youtube with no chin at all, but so what, I can't buy it. People are innovating behind the scenes all the time. And considering Xiaomi have always used Japanese displays in their flagships it's very likely in the future that Sharps IGZO will end up in a Xiaomi device.

They didn't copy Sharps insanely huge proximity sensor, they used an ultra sonic proximity sensor. They didn't copy the Sharps direct wave tech that sends the sound vibrations through bones, they created their own ceramic piezo to send vibrations through the phone then conventionally through the air, into the ear. They have innovated in a bezel-less design their own way. It's not a copy.

Lastly you wrote "It's just another copy/wannabe sharp phone tbh. get real". The idea of holding a bezel-less screen is an idea that goes back decades. Sharp is the first to get close to it. Xiaomi got a little closer and also has a working prototype that has achieved it(without the front cam). Many other manufactures almost certainly have prototypes too.

I'm seeing T-Mobile US 4G bands here: Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)... Can anyone else confirm? Phone looks awesome. From the future.

sony didn't copy xiaomi's design. Xiaomi copied nokia lumia. And for the most part, sony's design language has always been very unique and its the case that companies copy from them and the other way around. And I don't care about samsung.

The phone marques is talking about is outdated and sharp has released newer acqos crystals ever since. I'm not saying the phone isn't good looking. But it's clearly a sharp and sony rip off, and just looking it that immedeiately lets me know that. Even the tech that went inside this is pretty much what Sharp first innovated.

like i said. I'm sure sharp will come up with something better. I also highly doubt ceramic is that strong, im sure if you dropped it it will dent. Sharp phones are good looking too so thats not unique to this phone at all. They just stole the ideas and marketed it as something truly innovative which is far from it.

Of course I have seen the Aquos, and they will always be the first, but Xiaomi did it sexy to the point everyone is talking about it. Marques Brownlee reviewed the MIX alongside the Aquos which he compared to a horrible outdated device that looks like a Microsoft ZUNE.

This MIX uses Sharps display! So how is it they are steeling the curved corner design? Seems to me like the bought it..

also this phone is huge display. I'd be more impressed if they did that in a 5.5 inch factor. Sharp also figured out the solution for getting sound through the display too. It's just another copy/wannabe sharp phone tbh. get real.

Looks like the grey market importers are starting to price hike on this phone already.

I took a day deliberating on £633 (UK Pounds including import tax waiver, expedited 3-6 day delivery, insurance and extended warranty) for the 6+256 18K version at ibuygou, came home today and the total is now £738... ouchies

I have not used iPhone, but I've heard a lot of people in India saying iPhone is the best in terms of User Experience and Pictures won't pixcelate as well.

Nevertheless, XIAOMI - is booming and has grown vastly.. especially now with Redmi 3s Prime version of phone which is just 8999 Rupees - 135 US Dollars..

Thousands and thousands of people have become crazy for Redmi 3S prime, Redmi 3s version of phones in Xiaomi.

For now, I am pretty sure that more than Apple iPhones currently in India Xiaomi's market is huge and there is a lot of demand being created as well.

Nevertheless, iPhone has not become like Royal Limited Version which is priced very high compared all other phones in the market..

Vhh, 25 Oct 2016I don't thinks any China brand support full usa network band.... Huawei Does. My mate2, bought almost 3 years ago, has bands
2,4,5,17. The Mate8 I bought about a month ago, has the same,
which is perfect for the USA market.
From what I have read elsewhere, this Mi Mix will be a "concept"
device, for their mainland market, 10,000 max per month sold.
Considering the case & display, I'm sure refinements to the design
might be warranted. Better to get any bugs ironed out before you
try to ship globally. For better or for worse, not a lot of complaining
comes out of China, considering that country has a pretty iron fisted
approach to complaining. ;)

I saw a video abt it on youtube .. and frankly speaking .. i dont think there is any other device that look this beautifull .. if the cameras are reallyy nicee .. and the display as good as iy looked in the video .. also .. the overall functioning and working like a top notch device .. than i am definitelyy buying it .. have to wait and see how it performs in real life .. and if it is good enough .. i hopee xiaomi stands up to the expectation .. also .. i would love to see an eben more premium upgrade to mi mix .. like throw in 2k display .. and dual camera setup . And the front fscing camera of mi note 2 and ofvourse .. the awesome .. flawless functionality is a must .

This phone is the future. While it may not have key features I personally need like infrared, fm radio and micro sd (might seem like outdated technology but they are really useful), I would but it for the display alone. Its unbelievable that tech giants like LG and the rest can't come up with phones with such minimal bezels. 10 thumbs up to Xiaomi for the effort. God this is beautiful.
