I just bought the 6/64gb one for $450. The 6/128gb can be bought for around $500. So unless you're talking about the full ceramic 8/256gb version your figures are way off the mark.

If only this phone was sold here in the states via AT&T, I would get it in a heartbeat. Can't really justify spending $800+ for this unlocked to get it shipped overseas here to the states.

Great phone. Especially after getting rid of MIUI. To be fair, it isn't bad but had notification problems with many app.
Definitely worth it. Especially if you like to read, text, watch videos. So much screen in an easily held device. The chin it's perfect for a "home base" for flick gestures.
Shutterbugs would probably do well to choose another device, however. That I am not, so no worries from me. I would definitely buy again.

Android Oreo based mobiles mean mobiles come with Android Oreo out of the box.
