See the specs so impressive think it'd be Android phone of the year if the price is under no more than $699

Lead2XL, 01 Sep 2017I'm a Xiaomi fan having enjoyed a number of their phones. H... moreIt is wider because it has a normal 16:9 aspect ratio, while galaxy S8 and plus have shitty 18:9. Phones should not have displays bigger than 5.5 normal or 5.8 bezel less. This shit is getting ridiculous.

Lead2XL, 01 Sep 2017I'm a Xiaomi fan having enjoyed a number of their phones. H... moreXiaomi has phones with 16:9 resolution or close to that, while newer Samsung has closer to 21:9 resolution, so, while the screen has same diagonal, Samsung is taller and "slimmer" while Xiaomi is with more "conventional" proportions.

I'm a Xiaomi fan having enjoyed a number of their phones. However, I'm shocked that the Mix 2 is so wide!! It has the same display size as the Samsung Galaxy S8+ (6.2 inches) but it's much wider at over 81 mm while the S8+ is only 73.4 mm wide. The S8+ is less than 1 mm taller so why is the Mix 2 not at least under 75 mm?? I have noticed this theme for all the recent Chinese bezel-free phones - all are disappointingly wide, which misses the point, in my opinion - the point being to offer a large display with less width for ease of holding in one hand. If a bezel-free phone is too wide, it is only a fashion statement offering no real functional advantage.

The announcement date is coming soon. I hope the Mi Mix2 will be a little bit smaller than the predecessor though.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2017That's because you might have bought a Xiaomi from gearbest... moreI had the Xiaomi Mi5 Original for the first 8 months, and a Global ROM after that, both gave me OTA update quite often. So I dont understand what happened to your phone, and why its no update.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2017Xiaomi doesn't update it's phones very often or doesn't upd... moreThat's because you might have bought a Xiaomi from gearbest or some other wholeseller and this kind of sellers just erase the original ROM from Xiaomi and places one of their one. I suggest you to seach a flash guide from xiaomi and put an original ROM, it's pretty easy and their software avoid you bricking your phone.

shongohan, 28 Aug 2017Exactly I am waiting for the MI MIX1 as I am a Samsung Note... moreXiaomi doesn't update it's phones very often or doesn't update them at all.
Being stuck on the Android version that the phone came with, isn't the most pleasant experience.
Coming from a Samsung phone that might come as a surprise but most of Xiaomi's phones are still on Marshmallow and I'm talking about the 2016 flagship models.
