Ltmax, 26 Jul 2020i have the same problem.Really annoyingit's an issue with gboard integration in the core system (known since a very old version of google keyboard) ... try to install another keyboard from the playstore or use the one from any AOSP rom (with its library : libjni_latinime.so)

Hellow, the problem with sensor proximity has been fixed with MIUAI 12? And the problem with display doesn't recognize? I found people with green display problem, i think it's because it's AMOLED, anyone know something about this? Thank you very much

Xiaomi device showed 3k today while Samsung phone showed 8k (steps).

Its due to the plastic sheet applie... moreHi! There is no plastic sheet on the "proximity sensor / front camera", nor on the display or anywhere on the phone and therefore the problem remains. Yet no updates nor official comments by Xiaomi. (True, clicking the power switch before the call works but its not a sustainable solution.)
In addition, you can not cut music through Xiaomi Music application, unless you want it to be your ringtone... In my experience, it is necessary to cut some voice recordings on my phone and if there are applications which you can not uninstall, then they better work! (I know I can install other applications.)

Its due to the plastic sheet applied on upper head of phone where sensor is located.
Remove the sheet.It will work.
