WhatsApp calls were causing most issues as it wasn't even recognizing a proximity sensor and I had to manually turn the screen off. I was using Nova launcher instead of the stock one and after switching to stock seems to fix problems with proximity sensor.

Proximity the sensor works but only when the phone is in vertical position, when tilting above 45 degrees it stops responding. how to fix the problem. ....?

I have bought mi note 10 lite 2 weeks ago every 2 to 3 while i am playing pubg or any heavy game if feel the phone getting a little hot that it usually dose and after it getting hot i fell a bad touch responding
Did any one else faced this problem and is it software or hardware please let me know ?

Get a clear one or one with a cut for the Proximity Sensor. I had same issues on my Mi 9 Lite but it has been resolved after I noticed this

Sarah 123, 26 Jun 2020yes I also faced same issue ,proximity sensor doesn't alway... moreI'm also havin same issue with proximity sensor. Other than that, it's a great phone with good battery life. Gcam for photos makes a lot of difference to the image quality esp in low lights.
