Faster battery drain must be solved with Pie update. On Nougat battery life was great,but on Oreo no. Also,this was one of the best battery duration smartphone on the market. Charging time stay very fast.

Upgrading (or downgrading) to this phone from Mi5 and im happy
This is some reason
1. Shockingly the display color match my camera display, my macbook, and my print result.
2. Much better camera quality it can push to ISO 9700 max in Auto mode, add with OIS HHT mode it become usable picture for print.
3. JDI display quality better than poco or mi8 lite (they use Tianma Display)
4. Better Battery life (5-6 SOT)
5. Fast fingerprint scanner
6. Far better multitasking
What not so good
1. Led notification only white color
2. SD 660 (but i dont mind)
3. Lower resolution compared to 16mpix mi5
My next upgrade path will be Mi Mix 2s , need to stay on IPS display.

Hello,
Has anyone noticed that the selfies background aren't clear?
Even if you take a group selfie the camera somehow manages to defocus some of the faces, not to mention the background that show's up completely "burned"...
This happens even with the Beauty feature disabled.

I don't face the same issue, perhaps with your unit itself? Maybe factory reset could solve the issue?

It was announced today that this smartphone will get Android pie. Also have Sd 660,6/64,128 gb,12+12 back camera with ois and 4k, 16 mp front,metal frame and glass back,gorilla glass 4,front underglas fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5. Still very good smartphone and can go on the line with new redmi note 7.

this device have serious low call volume for front ear piece speaker , the volume extremely low when voice calling esspecially at noisy place u cant hear clearly when voice calling. miui beta team and programmer developer team call our end user root our phone to fix it... speechless. no support at all

this is my 7th month using xiaomi mi note 3. and i got some badluck. my device got burned while charged. fyi, i was using original xiaomi adapter charger which have 2 slot that support QC 3.0. idk why. i think this will be my last to me buying mi product. beware guys.
