As long it has an otg support, Im okay with it nit having a micro sd card slot since italready has a big storage

Everything are seems good, but if this has a finger print scanner it'll be the best tablet among the same price range.

16:10 most of it but what about 17:10 for balancing of tablet ratio between tablet and smartphone ratio? Is it better than 18:9?

What E-reader do you use?
I use UB Reader and that nicely scales to 16:9 on ePUB files on any orientation. The images do get squeezed a little. But no space is wasted.
As for doc and pdf files, there will probably be like 1cm(or something around that) thick black bars at the top and bottom, but it's and 8 inch screen. The text will be big enough. And zooming in a little isn't that hard.

Whats the point of making 8" tab when its not 4:3?
I mostly use mine to read and browse, its awesome on 4:3.
But at 16:9, too many screen estate going to be wasted. Especially when you use it as e-reader.

A 1:2 for a tablet? Well there goes ergonomics. 16:9 for a media oriented device and 4:3 for work oriented is enough for a majority of people. Imagine holding a 1:2 8 inch device in landscape orientation.
