I also considering to cancel getting it. (having to already planning to use 512 microsd with it). But then I realised that I don't really need that much storage.
Sure it's annoying to clean files too frequently (Mainly using for multimedia). But it's not really a deal-breaker for me.

Do some experiments to search a source that have the most efficiency (also according to your devices). One video file can be 100% bigger in size while only miniscully better. And your device also bottleneck the quality.
And maybe don't be too picky... I guess.

Thinking because phones have gotten so big that there must not be a market for them anymore. It's too bad cuz I love the small tablet. Still rocking my Mi Pad 4 from '18. Great tablet, but like you I was hoping for an update this year. C'mon Xiaomi, you killed the Mi Max and now you kill the 8' tablet. Damn.

This tablet is actually a back for your buck with the specs 120hz display, SDM 860, 8720 Mah battery. But there is some caveats like no MicroSD and SIM slot (it's a tablet, so normal) no 3.5 mm headphone jack, and lack of GPS, but overall, it's a very affordable tablet if it's at the $200 price range

Im about to buy this tab, but cancelling it at the last minutes after realising it does not have card slot. What a pity. I had been waiting for this since last year.
