I just need to know how people really classify flagship and midrange, and low-end if that is a still usable term. I owned this phone now and chose it because of the specs. Killing for that price tag. For me its specs first, review next, then price. And it fulfil all of my usage. Dont really care bout the premium brand, prestige nor its heritage or whatsoever.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2021Is this phone considered flagship or mid range phone? It really doesn't matter how you want to call it. If it matters to you, then the Poco F2 Pro may not be for you.

The Poco F2 Pro is about flagship specs and affordable upper midrange prices. Some people who pay much more for the same specs as the Poco F2 Pro can never quite accept the Poco F2 Pro as a flagship phone. They may use a term 'proper' flagship to distinguish more expensive flagship phones from the Poco F2 Pro while avoiding argument that can arise if they used the term 'real' flagship phone for the more expensive flagship phones.

Then there are others who can never quite accept a Chinese brand name and a lower price as fit for a 'flagship' label. A flagship phone for them must be a lot more expensive and must have a 'royalty' brand name or heritage that goes back at least a decade of higher prices in smartphone history. Prestige marketing is, after all, is also about premium pricing and prestige branding or branding heritage. For these brand conscious people, brand names are top on their list so they find all sorts of justification why a phone with similar high flagship specifications but much lower price from another brand can never be quite called a 'real' or 'proper' (euphemism for real) flagship phone if it does not have the high price and correct brand name.

If you are at all concerned about having nice brand names, premium price tags or labels, then the Poco F2 Pro may not be for you.

Milty, 19 Mar 2021There was a post you can find online, the next update its l... moreYes. If you use the default Poco launcher, the bugginess is more tolerable but I can never give up Nova launcher. If Samsung can execute a bug free Android 11 update that doesn't drive you crazy when using custom launchers, why can't Xiaomi. I mean the Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 11 update is actually flawless with third party launchers except it still has the ugly white/black center bar at the bottom of the screen that chops of content and can't be removed. Why does the Poco F2 Pro Android 11 update have to be so horrendously buggy with third party launchers?

There was a post you can find online, the next update its listed a June, they say there will be the opportunity to remove some Xiaomi system apps, that sounds extremely promising. Also, for those curious about camera, you can make hdr stay on our auto by changing camera setting to 'save previous mode', and I've found reverting to default launcher has solved some navigation and app crashing issues.

Has anyone received software version 12.2.5 for the EU version? It is available

This is not normal whom to trust ???
some claim that the Miui 12 on the A11 is full of errors and omissions and others claim that everything works OK for them after the upgrade, of course it is desirable to do a factory reset after that.
And who to trust now what to do if it goes wrong and you can't bring back the Miui 11 and A10.

                  Shit ....

MladenJ, 17 Mar 2021Global ROM MIUI 12.2.4.0., Android 11 YES or NO the ... moreJust wait. Good things come to those who wait.
Just really don't update your Poco F2 Pro to Android 11 MIUI 12.2.4.0. You'll seriously regret it. Lots of serious bugs. Super buggy with 3rd party launchers. All screen display in 'Full screen display' mode is horrendously buggy and bezel free appearance is ruined by the stupid ugly white/black bar at the bottom center of the screen which chops off a sizable portion of the bottom screen. It's nowhere near as perfect as Samsung's Android 11 OneUI 3.1 implementation in Samsung phones. The Poco F2 Pro Android 11 MIUI 12.2.4.0 update is just horrendous, I should not have updated. And there's no way to rollback because Xiaomi has enabled anti-rollback even if you go to the extent of unlocking your Poco F2 Pro's bootloader.

Global ROM MIUI 12.2.4.0., Android 11

                        YES or NO

the question now is whether they have fixed the errors or not yet to wait.

This was a major upgrade from my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.

I've had a great time with the device since I purchased it around Halloween 2020.

MIUI 12 on Android 11 is a beautiful experience but I love flashing custom ROMs, this is something that came from keeping my Note 4 up to date.

I have to recommend Pitch Black recovery with Xiaomi.eu's latest Stable or Weekly or even ArrowOS which I am on right now and can't help pmnut feel comfortable with.

Really wish Xiaomi release an updated Android 11 soon. One that is as smooth and bug free as the Mi A3.

How come the screen on time in battery settings resets itself and loses track? How come the camera HDR disable itself all the time no matter if set to on all the time? Why are there so many little irritations like this in a fully released, consumer device!!
