Anonymous, 14 Jan 2021Don't update! It's still a Beta version, and it... moreThe Poco F2 Pro update to Android 11 was rolled out through OTA recently and released as "stable" version but it's riddled with huge bugs. DO NOT UPDATE to MIUI Global 12.2.4 Stable because YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY regret it.
List of major bugs/issues I've gathered so far:
1. Doesn't work with third party launchers (Ex. Nova launcher). Gestures don't work. Recent apps do not display/show.
2. Chopped off bottom screen with permanent white or black bar when using Full display mode.
3. Status bar can no longer be hidden with ADB commands (common to all Android 11 devices).
4. Opening links from apps are broken.
5. Dark mode issues. Some apps remain on Light mode even on dark mode. You need to set them back from dark mode to light mode to dark mode to make them display dark mode correctly.
6. Open with... or Complete action with... is broken. Doesn't work and can result to perpetually horizontal scrolling pop up screen. Seriously!
7. Share with... is broken. Doesn't work and results to error message in many apps.
8. Opening files (Ex. PDF files) from file manager apps results in error message. Cannot open PDF and other document files from file manager.
The Android 11 update released by Xiaomi is horrendously buggy. Avoid 12.2.4 or other earlier numbered updates.

koshy2259, 14 Jan 2021I did yesterday and it won't let me use the full scree... moreIf you are using the default Poco launcher, just reboot your phone while on non full display mode (navigation buttons mode). After reboot, change to full display mode under settings - display - full screen display - full screen gestures.
If you are using Nova launcher or other third party launcher (not the default Poco launcher), then do the numbered procedure mentioned below. There's one thing I forgot to mention below. I use Nova launcher prime and assign a gesture (Ex. Double finger swipe down or double tap) to recent apps. That way, you'll always have quick access to recent apps from Nova launcher. The 'back button' app's overlay helps get you quickly back to Nova launcher, much quicker than the quick ball.

zeeshan.mazhari, 18 Jan 2021How did you manage to get full screen gestures and recent a... moreIt's really a SUPER-CONVOLUTED procedure just to make Nova launcher workable in the Poco F2 Pro under Android 11. However, since you asked for it, I'm going to warn you it's NOT a perfect solution but it makes Nova launcher use a lot more workable, you'll be willing to ignore the imperfection/limitations.
First of all, the theory: You will need the default Poco launcher always running in the background despite using Nova launcher because once the default phone launcher (Poco launcher) gets kicked off from phone memory, Nova launcher (and all other custom launchers you may be using), will fail responding to navigation gestures under 'FULL DISPLAY MODE' of the phone. The default Poco launcher sort of 'owns' or is the priority app for those gestures. Remove the Poco launcher from memory and you render Nova launcher navigation gestures dysfunctional. Not only that: Nova will also fail in displaying recent apps when the Poco launcher gets kicked off from the background. Because of the reason above, that is, because you want the default Poco launcher always running in the background, every time you 'clear ALL recent apps', the launcher switches back to the default Poco launcher even if you have already set the default launcher to Nova launcher. This is the one of the 'imperfections' I'm talking about. So my suggestion is to avoid clearing all recent apps completely. Leave at least one running. However, if you really don't like any app left displayed in recents, you'll need to create a shortcut to Nova launcher app on the Poco launcher home screen to quickly get back to Nova launcher as default launcher. Alternately, you can use a 'back button app' from Playstore. (I'm using the one from 'ogapps' with the gray icon with u-shaped logo). Setting it up and customizing it so it is able to display its overlay (and also so that it displays only the home button) is another convoluted procedure so I won't discuss it here. You can also just enable 'Quick ball' and use its home button just for the purpose of reverting back quickly to Nova launcher. Having said everything, here's the procedure. Do it in EXACT order.
1. Set Poco launcher first as default launcher in settings - apps - manage apps - (three dots) default apps.
2. Reboot phone. The Poco launcher will default to non-full display with the navigation bar visible. (It happens every reboot regardless of previous Poco settings).
3. After reboot, while in the Poco launcher, launch Nova launcher app.
4. Tap 'recents' button. Be sure to protect (padlock icon) the Nova launcher app.
5. Launch again Nova app from the Poco launcher.
6. With Nova now the 'active' (but still not the default launcher), go to app drawer of the Nova launcher and search for 'Poco launcher'.
7. Tap Poco Launcher. (Launcher reverts to Poco launcher).
8. Tap Nova launcher app from the Poco launcher.
9. While in Nova launcher, tap recents button. The Poco launcher should be displayed as one of the recent apps still in the background. If you can't find it. REPEAT steps 3-8.
10. With the 'Poco launcher' visible in recent apps under Nova launcher, protect (padlock icon) the 'Poco launcher' app.
11. Now that both launchers will remain in memory as always running background apps, it's time to fortify them with additional protection from getting kicked off from memory.
12. Go to settings - battery and performance - app battery saver - (three dots) - show system apps.
13. Tap 'three dots' (upper right corner) again - sort by app settings
14. From the list, select Nova launcher. Select 'No Restrictions' instead of 'Battery Saver'. Do the same for Poco launcher. Poco launcher should be under 'No Restrictions' (not 'Battery Saver').
15. Next, go to settings - apps - manage apps - permissions - auto start
16. Turn on toggle for 'Nova launcher' and 'Nova launcher Prime' (if you have Nova launcher prime) so Nova launcher can auto restart if it gets kicked off from memory.
Having done all the above, proceed to changing the default launcher to 'Nova launcher' (See step 1). Then proceed to setting - display - full screen display. Choose 'Full screen gestures'.
That's it! Should the gesture navigation fail again or the recent apps go missing, just tap nova launcher app and then poco launcher app. Turn off phone screen/lock phone screen. After phone is unlocked, Nova should be back to normal. If not, repeat procedure above starting with step 1.

Nekomimi, 14 Jan 2021ahahaha.. i have finished update like 6 hours ago? and yeah... moreDid a bit of Android 11 research and it turns out, GREEDY GOOGLE is to blame for majority of the bugs experienced in devices running Android 11 (It's not limited to Xiaomi only).
Android 11 removed support for overscan and full immersive screen mode (auto hide navigation bar and auto hide status bar) which means that the ugly white or black line/bar at the bottom center of the screen that's wasting pixels and wasting screen estate will remain there until android phone manufacturers find a way to get rid of it.
Also, Google is making it difficult for custom launchers to work well with Android 11. So unless you are using the default launcher that came with your phone (Poco launcher for the Poco F2 Pro), you're going to have issues with gesture based navigation and full screen display modes in Android 11. Even with the stock launcher, you're still going to experience remaining bugs, but not as much as say, when you're using a custom launcher like Nova launcher.
Also, file access permissions in Android 11 is a lot stricter. It's breaking many 'open with' and 'share with' functionality for many apps. Phone manufacturers are going to have difficulty getting over those major Android 11 changes, and so Android 11 is going to be buggy for most part until phone manufacturers sort things out and polish their software skin. It could take more time. The good news is I have found a workaround to make my favorite Nova launcher (a custom launcher) behave as well as the Poco launcher (default launcher) without experiencing the major bugs anymore (unresponsive to gesture navigation and full display mode, as well as no recent apps displayed bug). I'm happy for now because the Android 11 update is workable now for me despite using Nova launcher. Before learning about the quirks of Android 11, I had to stop using Nova launcher because gestures were unresponsive in full display mode and it doesn't show recent apps. I've managed to get both to work even with Nova Launcher as my default launcher.

Biladeiro , 13 Jan 2021Why can't you find Poco F2 Pro stocks all over the world? Yes. There's no stock in anywhere! 😕 You can only find a couple of sellers at AliExpress or Ebay, but it's price went sky high, up to €500 or $600.
The same happens with Xiaomi Mi Note 10 lite and M10 lite, Poco X3 NFC....
I believe that this happens because the sales went beyond there expectations and that theyvare always launching a new device evere 2 weeks!!!!!!
i.e. After the Note 9s,they launched 9 9a, 9c, note 9 pro, just now the 9t 5G.....
It's unbelievable how many devices are coming....

I repeat, do not update to Android 11 with MIUI 12.2.4 (stable)! It's nowhere near 'stable'. It's riddled with bugs in dark mode, full screen mode, and gestures. Horrible, horrible for Xiaomi to roll out an update via OTA that is nowhere near stable. I want to revert back to Android 10! Its full screen mode and gesture based navigation was flawless! This MIUI 12.2.4 / Android 11 update is buggy as hell in full screen mode. Bad, bad, bad Xiaomi!

Nekomimi, 14 Jan 2021anyone received an update with miui 12.2.4? how it the upda... moreYes, I received it. It's a huge 2.9GB update to Android 11 with security patch also updated to December 2020. I just installed it. It feels snappier BUT... my goodness! It's as BUGGY AS HELL it's like beta software.
The full screen mode leaves a permanent ugly white/black bar at the bottom center so it can do permanent Amoled screen burn in, while at the same time, choping off a significant portion of the bottom screen estate, leaving an ugly wasted black space because scrolling no longer goes past near that stupid white/black bar at the bottom center that never disappears.
It makes the nearly bezel free Poco F2 gain an uglier bigger top and bottom bezels that's not only ugly but wasteful as well. It's like the software was tailor fit for 19.5:9 phones like the Android One Mi A3 and recycled for use in the 20:9 Poco F2 Pro. Xiaomi is destroying the beautiful hole free, bezel free display by making the top and bottom scroll limit boundaries bigger from poorly optimized software (or by using recycled software).
There's wasted black space at the bottom of the screen that no app can use and no, you can't hide the navigation bars and status bars anymore using the app 'Second Screen'. Will probably try ADB commands next (after factory reset). I hate, hate, hate this ugly update.
I am going to factory reset my Poco F2 Pro. I hope it solves this bug and many others like gestures not working in full screen mode, error messages flashed here and there, and mangled dark mode for some apps. I'll update this post once I've done the factory reset and reinstallation of apps.

AnonD-973296, 12 Jan 2021ok thanksNot sure if any of the GCam ports in the link below have functional Night Sight for your Exynos based device. Samsung has been blocking GCam mods in its devices in recent software updates so if any of the GCam mods work below, it may not be for long because a software update may render the GCam mod dysfunctional.
