Mike Coxlong, 10 Sep 2020You clearly haven't used or put a 120hz and 60hz phone... moreThe difference you are seeing is from scrolling animations and that difference is VERY VISIBLE because android's default animations are in 30fps for phones with regular 60fps screens. What you are seeing as a "huge" noticeable difference is between android's default animations at 30fps and the 60fps animations found in phones with higher display refresh rates (90Hz, 120Hz).

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2020I can raise the same question back to you. What's ... moreYou clearly haven't used or put a 120hz and 60hz phone side by side. There is a big difference there. When you're used to 120hz and then dial it back to 60hz , there is going to be a difference and for a lot of people it's a big difference. The movement and scrolls is very fluid and lifelike. Granted there is not many apps and games that utilizes high refresh rate displays but if you wanna talk future-proofing, this is the better argument than the usual '5G'. I understand the guy you're replying to. Let's put it this day, the $200 Poco X3 NFC is going to feel much more faster than Poco F2 Pro just because it has a 120hz display with 240hz touch sampling rate. Just you wait.

(I own an F2 Pro and I'm also getting the X3)

I have this phone. Previously had oneplus 7 pro(got rid of it because of some personal issue. good phone though). But poco f2 really serving me with good battery life, decent camera(not best), solid performance with sd865, no heating issue(it warms up while gaming or media streaming but cools down fast and heats very little).
I don't miss the higher refresh rate honestly as I'm not a hardcore gamer I think this phone will serve me well in the coming days. If you don't mind the higher refresh rate this phone is really the best value for money.

Ahsan , 08 Sep 2020Absolutely brilliant but what's the point having SD 86... moreI can raise the same question back to you.

What's the point of 120Hz display and 90Hz display when an average gamer who uses even a large 32"+ 120Hz capable computer monitor can't even distinguish whether the game was running at 60Hz or 120Hz in a blind test?

And we're talking about a 6.0-6.7" phone screen here, not a huge 32"+ monitor that makes the refresh rate difference even more microscopic!

And what's the point of high refresh rate screens when practically 100% of android games only offer up to 60Hz, and when vastly more people only browse FB and YouTube and just play Candy Crush and PVZ for games in a smartphone?

Overhyped? Yes, certainly. So why do then people think they can see night and day difference in 60Hz displays vs 120Hz displays in a small phone screen? Placebo effect? Yes! Bragging rights? Certainly.

Is visible microscopic improvement from a 120Hz phone display worth the phone price increase and the gaming benefit, than say using a fraction of that amount to equip the phone with a faster, 5G capable processor and a bigger, completely flat, fully immersive, punch hole free phone screen? No! Will 120Hz make you win the game more? No! So what's the point, even if you are a hardcore phone gamer?

TomRiddle, 09 Sep 2020I understand that the chipset limitations do not allow you ... moreDual SIM 4G+4G, yes. Dual SIM 5G+4G and dual SIM 5G+5G, not happening yet with Qualcomm processors. https://www.androidauthority.com/dual-sim-5g-phones-1136099/

I understand that the chipset limitations do not allow you to use 5G on both SIMS simultaneously.

Can we use the dual sim feature by having one SIM in 5G mode and the other SIM in 4G mode?

Just a standard question: 4G on both SIMS simultaneously, should be possible, right?

Absolutely brilliant but what's the point having SD 865 if you don't have 120hz or even 90hz display... not a good option for gamers

Lead2XL, 04 Sep 2020I have used at least 10 Xiaomi phones over the past 5 years... morePeople are saying why did I buy the phone when I knew the specs. It was because I loved the previous Pocophone F1 and hoped I could get used to the extra size and weight not to mention the awkward in-display fingerprint reader but I couldn't come to like it. I see the new Poco F3 is even bigger and heavier. Can't imagine who would want such a monstrosity.

I have Poco F2 for a month now and it is super fast phone (comming from redmi note 7) but I tried 120hz phones recently and now I feel like it is lagging, I'm thinking to sell it and buy k30 ultra as it is the only phone that has flat full screen with 120hz.. is worth it ?

Zack, 06 Sep 2020Is it okay for me too keep my phone on miui10 becous some... moreI think xiaomi allows rollback so you can flash previous roms. I used to do this with my samsung galaxy S5. I flashed lollipop on it after marshmallow came out. The problem is that app developers will sometimes optimize their apps for the very latest software so some apps may be tailored to work best with miui 12 and it might even occasionally be the case where certain apps may only be available on the latest version of miui. But I don't think there's really a major problem with doing it.
