Anonymous, 29 Jul 2020Welcome back! Have you bought a new phone? What brand? Wou... morelet's stick to the smartphones though :))
If you're curious I went for the Oppo Reno 10x zoom, you can see the similarities ;)
-cameras are better
-build quality way better
-vibration motor is better
-screen is better but not as bright as the Poco
-performance negligible difference
-screen glass doesn't have a proper oleophobic coating
- battery surprisingly better (could be because the better thermal and power consumption)
- games don't run that smoothly as the poco but it can maintain the same performance throughout long sessions of gaming without burning my fingers
- Oppo sucks at software updates (still waiting on android 10)
- a working shark fin camera :))
- and the trust that Oppo will fix it in case of something breaking ;)

I just wanted a phone with Amoled screen, as big as possible (I have Honor Play, so at least 6,5"), without a notch, with decent camera. Well, there are not many options - via phone finder I found 7 devices, only 4 of them available in my country.
Finally there are phones with big displays and fine specs under 1000 € available :-)

If you want decent telephoto, get another phone with 5x optical zoom and OIS. Anything less in a mobile phone is there to just attract users into buying the phone only to be disappointed with the telephoto range and telephoto image quality.

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2020You drunk. Pixel and oneplus support widevine L1But they don't allow wireless screen sharing of offline downloads.
TRY IT AND AND YOU'LL SEE WHO'S DRUNK!

abdouhafez, 30 Jul 2020i need your quick advise i should but Poco F2 Pro or Realme... moreIt depends, if your are after the latest chipset, better battery life, slightly better cameras, better design (for me), better price (6/128), 5G capability, then you may go for the poco..
But if you are looking for better display/refresh rate, bigger ram/storage and you don't mind smaller battery, so so design (common accross any class of realme phone) and no 5G yet then you may go for Realme X2 Pro

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2020For how long will this poco f2 pro get software updates? I&... moreIt's the same for most flagships - 2 years of official updates from the manufacturer at least. Everything after that is purely a promise or speculation that's highly dependent on the phone's manufacturer and its popularity or sales figures.
For sure the Poco F2 Pro will outlast the Oneplus in terms of overall software support because there's just way more interest in it in terms of custom ROM development than Oneplus phones, being a hugely popular phone that's within the reach of more enthusiasts in the developer community.

For how long will this poco f2 pro get software updates? I'm planning to buy poco f2 pro 256gb variant or oneplus 8 128gb variant. Oneplus guarantees atleast 3 years of software updates and oxygen os is better tham MIUI but I really like the poco f2 pro

Shizon84, 30 Jul 2020I know, I remember first seeing USB 2.0 in 2002, so quite a... morePersonally, the reason I'd buy an S10+ over this would be full Widevine L1 capability. The Poco and ALL other China made phones: Xiaomi, Oneplus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and also ALL Pixel phones can only view offline downloaded HD movies on their own phone screen but can't mirror them. Samsung on the other hand (and LG) allow not only in-phone screen viewing of protected content (DRM encoded), but also wireless mirroring of offline downloads to TV screens.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2020I did as you said. Opened Xiaomi's file manager even i... moreI tried this again a few more times and yes, finally! I saw a small banner ad for an LG washing machine in Xiaomi's file manager app. It seems the ads do not always come out every time you access Xiaomi's file manager. The theme store also has ads and I suppose, every Xiaomi app (Xiaomi media player, Xiaomi app store, etc.) I don't use any of those so that's probably the reason the only ads I see are from Chrome websites and some regular Google Play store apps (YouTube, dictionary, news and weather apps).
