Also someone I knew personally had a dead Poco F3 after 3 years. Realistically, I would say the chances of a Poco F3 phone randomly dying after 3 years is at least 0.5%, which is 50,000 smartphones out of a million. Still is big to me, and most of the other phone brands don't have it as common for them.

          And about changing battery in the near future, I don't see any need.. power bank can actually be a 2nd easy battery.

            Here i am still using it as my main phone (i have no secondary phone) after 4 years!
            Using it everyday like everyone else uses their phone social media/gps/5g/bluetooth and according to batteryguru am still on 74% battery health.
            Can still do a full day with slightly responsible usage.
            Probably will keep it until it is just e-waste and unusable, ll need to change battery in the new future tho (in 6 months to a year probably).
            And about the comments, most of the happy users wont be posting since they wont be facing problems.. you ll see only a small percentage from the whole Lot sold, who were unlucky and got some bad units.. its called silicone lottery for a reason.

              What's with some Poco phones having dead motherboards. I wonder if after 3 years Poco F5/F5 pro will start having the same motherboard issues too. Makes me not want to buy a Poco again since there's like a 5% chance of it dying.

                Man, this phone is great. I've been using it for 3 years and haven't found a reason to upgrade. Still snappy and battery still holds, camera could be better but it's enough for my needs. Has a remote too. Maybe I'll upgrade in 2 more years or when it breaks.

                  Then most avg ppl would say eh, just debloat it (but they don't know that normal debloating won't turn system level services off).
                  By the way, my camera was working fine with LOS(+microg) with gcam.

                    I have few other devices with custom rom in it, using it for few years no problem.
                    Yes, of course, you shouldn't mess with it as you don't know much about custom rom other than hearsay from somebody else.

Literally perfect phone with an AOSP ROM (well, back in its day). But the stock Xiaomi ROM is so buggy, slow and bloated that it literally makes the phone so much worse. With a clean ROM and x0.5 animations, it is as fast and as good as a modern flagship.
                      My only concern is that ArrowOS stopped updates, so I am stuck at Android 12, and that Google Pay doesn't work. All my other payment apps work with absolutely no issues. I bet there are other AOSP ROMs that bring newer versions and keep getting updated though.
                      I am changing this phone after almost 4 years of owning it, but, honestly, if I were to replace its battery and USB-C connector, this bad boy would be good for at least 2, if not 3-4 more years. Amazing hardware. Just the cameras are bad, and even worse, the ROM I have has a broken Camera app. But, hey, it is good enough for a quick snap and I have a real camera for when I actually want to take photos.

You see, the reason all your phone got bricked because the action you all did to yourself. Rooting your phone, install custom rom. Changing kernels etc. Your phone bricked because root and then blaming the brand. That's a compete comedy.
                          You wanna have other roms than the stock rom? Use VM, best example are VMOS and VphoneGaga. VMOS have kit Kat and Pie rom. VphoneGaga have android 10 and 12. All you can explore while still on your stock rom. The vm also support root and other useful root apps.
                          So why root your phone

                            Therefore, I do not think it's the custom ROM.
                            Of course, if you dare go asking Xiaomi sales representative, they will always say it's the custom ROM as they don't wanna be responsible anyways.
                            However note that climate here is hot.
                            But suppose if was heat, it's still inexcusable as long as they sell this phone here.
                            From what I think, it's not heat but is build quality issue though.

                              If it not custom rom, it's probably the users messed up or delete something important while their phone are rooted. It's probably.
                              If the phone screen still on but stuck on the logo, this is bootloop. Not deadboot. Deadbooot happen when the phone completely dead or bricked.
                              This bootloop issue was common back to ancient Android version era to "improve" the phone's capability.
                              Nowadays rooting your phone is not recommended. With android 11 and up you got all features the root offer.
                              This is just my theory so take it easy.

                                Besides if software is the cause, it should be able to fix by thing called EDL; but it does not even load it.
                                Therefore, maybe some lot is bad while others are fine, maybe some quality control issue.

                                        This is Tahlreth's or Stenzek's phone, amazing developer of superb PS1 & PS2 emulator for android. Duckstation and Aethersx2. You all must try these.
                                        Aethersx2 is dead no more updated, apparently some iPhone users sent him death threats because he don't want to make aethersx2 available for iPhone. Those stupid and crazy people don't know that even Apple made emulating console games harder by not allow JIT instructions to be use other than Safari browser. Crazy story and sad. Now we stuck with the last aethersx2 version that will never be updated, except by stenzek himself. I adore him. He should never get hurt by anyone no more. Poor guy.
