I think what actually helps you is that you try both of them out yourself and set your own priorities.

I have a poco f3. I am using it about 3 years. I am still waiting Europe version of hyperos 1.0.3 OTA distribution. I think they forget it. Because recovery&fastboot of same ROM's already published.

So far this is the best ROM Version: 1.0.2.0.TKHMIXM it has last longer battery don't have issue after flashing this hyperos

Still be careful of heat especially if you are in somewhere hot.
I had to replace the batter after approx. 3 yrs as battery started to bloat until the back cover coming off loose (cost me less than $10 for new battery from online).

Ignore all opinions, This phone was primarily meant for perfomance along with a decent battery, I bought in 2024 the 8/256gb version works very good
The perfomance is really good in 2024 and u get the perfomance of a55 + a better snapdragon gpu for 150$
Plays all games with no lagging at low/medium graphics max fps basically buy this phone if you dont have much cash and you want a phone that wont be lagging in anything battery js decent 6-7h camera decent but not really good macro is good
and make sure to custom rom it in 2026/5

I just replaced battery of F3 on my own for the first time.
It wasn't too difficult even for a clumsy guy like myself though make sure to handle the cables as gentle as possible.

As for privacy wise custom ROM is better as it's open sourced that there's no hidden OEM codes to spy on you (unless you choose to install gapps and other spying app like facebook).
Of course, if you prefer convenience over privacy, then it's probably not your option as some app that depends on google code may or may not work.

Some things will stop working later on.
But good thing about this phone is that users can still unlock the boot loader and flash other ROM.
It won't be easy for average users, but it works great once it's all set.

My F3 not disappointing at all...have skipped F4, F5 and F6 withno regret....F7 may be. Beast phone....battery still as new....after 3 years ...

if u want decent cameras, and u want your phone to not lag and be usable in gaming this one is for you battery is 6-8 hours
