Do you advise even 5V=1A ?

But tbh I've never heard any cases with custom ROM regarding their maintainer spying/something and I've been actively using cusrom since Android Froyo.

Stoon, 10 Jan 2023I never used any stock oem software in all my xiaomi/redmi/... moreI don't dare using custom roms. How come you can get them for free??!! There is nothing that is for free in the world. I'm almost sure there are some weird stuff hidden in those roms, one way or another, even if they are open source... I know that oem roms also spy on me, but at least I know who's spying on me.

It's good to experiment with custom roms, maybe to learn programming, but I would NEVER do my banking or important things in them.

Kaki, 10 Jan 2023Been using it for 1 year and 7 months. Maybe this is not a good idea, but I do it anyway. Sometimes I let the battery get completely discharged, the phone will turn itself off. I let it be for a few hours and then connect the charger without turning on the phone until it's fully charged. The reason I do that is to help my Poco F3 recalibrate itself, maybe it's unwise to do that... Is there anyone on this thread who understand battery technology and can give professional opinion on my approach. I heard that batteries should be kept at 20 - 80%, I don't like doing that because it's not practical.

Despite some irritating software issues, and a number of junk non-removable apps, it's impossible to find something better than Poco F3 for what it cost. There are of course a ton of phones out there that are much better than Poco F3, but then they cost a lot more. I also have Poco X4 GT, which is a great phone, but I still prefer Poco F3, though. Now I'm waiting for Poco F5, I hope it comes with FM radio and 3.5 mm jack. Xiaomi give me hope!

JimmyTheGreatest, 09 Jan 2023How long have you been using your phone? I've been usi... moreBeen using it for 1 year and 7 months.

Using the Poco F3 since August 2021 - performance is great, display is very good, charging speed is awesome.

The main issues with this phone are software related. In some cases the phone becomes unresponsive and it needs a restart. There's no pattern - it seems to occur randomly and totally unexpected at times. This isn't a huge problem, as such freezes occur quite rarely. The issue with the (lack of) proximity sensor has improved, but still occurs here and there. Sometimes, in direct sunlight, the screen is acting funny. It's like it's trying to make things way too bright, losing contrast and so on. I haven't played too much with the display settings and I guess it's related to the "sunlight" mode or w/e it's called - a quick fix is to just slightly lower the brightness manually.

Overall, I think the phone is worth every penny. It's definitely not perfect, but the hardware is of high quality and the software issues are in no way deal-breakers. Battery life has degraded after 1.5 years, but this is to be expected and charging speed makes up for it. I hope the phone would hold up like this for another 1.5-2 years.

Kaki, 08 Jan 2023Ahhhh, battery has gone to sh*t now. How long have you been using your phone? I've been using mine for less than 2 years and don't have battery and performance issues yet. I have a feeling that Xiaomi's phones are not designed to last longer than 2 years... They usually stop updating/upgrading their software after a couple of years, which is a little scary, considering all the malware and viruses that are constantly attacking all the connected systems.

Ahhhh, battery has gone to sh*t now.

There are still some minor and irritating software issues with this phone... But oh I love it. It's the best smartphone I ever owned. I hope Xiaomi add FM radio and 3.5mm jack to the future Poco F5/X5. I promise to be the first to buy and recommend it to my family and friends.

loved this phone, had it about a year plus and the cpu died on me. Heard it's been a recurring issue for poco f3 and x3, such a shame. Loved it so much only for it to die a month after my warranty expired.

I n... moreagreed 100% fast charging is meant for use in an emergency.. not for daily use... fast charger charge ur phone with extreme voltages ... a 3.7 volt battery cant tolerate such voltages..it heats up .. heat kills battery life span greatly... use good brand 1 amp charger for daily use. (i use samsung 1 amp charger).. with normal charge speed ur battery will keep its health and backup for long even for 2yrs.... fast charger is a total loss deal... only use fast charge in emergency only...
