I'm in a dilemma here. I made up my mind And I hope you guys can help me choose.
In terms of main camera and selfie camera which one would you choose for decent AND above average overall quality, sharpness, dynamic range, low noise, low light, natural/real-life tones and video stabilization for their specs and optimisations:
1. OnePlus 9 w/ EIS (Sony IMX689)
2. Realme 9 Pro+ w/ OIS (SonyIMX766)
3. Poco F4 w/ OIS ( unknown sensor).
Also, taking into account the company that is faster in updates, community support and current device optimisations. Please help and advice. THANKS.

Current phone is a Redmi 8( since 8 Jan 2020) which is starting to get on my nerves. Also have a Galaxy A72(gift) which I haven't even used yet. I'm thinking of selling the A72 and buying Poco M4 or F4. I want something to last me atleast 4-5 years. I don't know if this is a good idea or not. I want something with a decent screen and camera. Problem is all this phones are so big and heavy

I found Poco's community to be average. I did had some replies here and there and some advice was given. Nothing too outstanding. But eventually the replies dried out. When I had the F3 i tried using the GCam port and it definitely did not helped. So i sold it. I feel that if i get the F4 it will be deja vu all over again. Support will be there in 6-12 months then it will dry out because of so many factors too many to mention here. I'm gravitating towards a OnePlus or Realme coz they seem to be much clearer with their updates timeline, a cleaner UI and based on my experience of owning past OnePlus (6T, 7T, 8T) and Realme (7 Pro) their UX has smooth performance. I can understand no OS overlay is bug-free but 4 out of 5 i've read so far people find Xiaomi's MIUI to be the buggiest. And slowest to update.

Dj, 08 Jul 2022If you care about software , just buy a samsung galaxy a52s... moreI'm moving away from Samsung (due to very slow/laggy UI) and going back to OnePlus, Realme, XIaomi or Poco as I found based on my experience the UI & UX is very fluid and smooth.

Jemlim, 08 Jul 2022really? ur still complaining about sd card? cmon move on!Jemlim, when you buy a phone with 128 or 256 gb storage (that could potentially be the max storage model for some phones) and fill it in for less than a year, then you should judge! I have a poco f2 pro and i am so struggling with those 128gb, 256 will NOT be any better for me. It constantly complains about cleaning my storage and i am so sick of it! And no, i don't want to sell myself for a 512gb model that is not even available in my region! Manufacturers don't even make these, nor they let you have expandable memory out of greediness. When you take a whole lot of photos and download videos on a daily basis, then we should talk about that again

I do not use any stock apps like Gallery, calender, clock etc. I prefer to use some other alternatives which I find suit my needs. I did find the magic eraser in the default gallery editor (it worked on small objects satisfactorily. Haven't tried removing people). A friend of mine has Iqoo neo 6 & he was complaining about bugs there. I read people complaining about bugs in Samsung UI 4.1 as well. So no custom skin is free of bugs (& even stock android had some annoying bugs when I was using Nokia 7 plus). So if you find a workaround, well & good. If not, live with it. Someday someone will hopefully fix it. The most important thing is community support, which Poco F4 seems to have. People are excited about this model & looking forward to custom roms once kernel sources are available. It took just 2 days for someone to create a near perfect Gcam xml for a lot better photos. So help is available if you are stuck. You can search telegram for Poco F4 discussion & photography groups. They are super helpful in finding a working solution to your problems.

Positives: Great battery life (1 day or more), above average stereo speakers (loudness & clarity) and somewhat very decent performance. Negatives: MIUI remains part buggy, part- lack of features (unable to set lockscreen shortcuts, no magic eraser in Gallery, no measuring AR tool like Samsung), riddled with ads and slow updates; had each of them for at least 6 months minimum and only received one minor MIUI update.
I heard Oxygen/Color/Realme UI OS is more stable now than MIUI. And i have read that many times here and elsewhere. For me updates are as imprtant as the UX, UI & Software because they make phones function even more better e.g. cameras, performance, battery life, etc.

Gino76ph, 03 Jul 2022Hello. Between the F4 and older F3 which phone in practice ... moreTo be frank, I had Nokia 7 plus as primary device for nearly 4 years. Got monthly security updates & timely OS updates. So I can tell you that these security patches do not change UX & if you get it quarterly it's fine. OS updates change UX & sometimes bring performance improvement (FYI : OS 10 update broke Gcam so not every update good).
I switched to Poco F4 recently & this is my observation - HDR content looks superb. SDR okay. SDR to HDR conversion works as expected & streamed content looks great due to this. Camera is average (good in daylight) but got a working Gcam & there is a lot improvement in photos with Gcam. There is another Leica MIUI camera app which improves the default camera app to some extent. Other camera features are fun to play with. Updates are important but stability is more important. Right now the software feels a lot stable (& I am coming from stock android).

Come on POCO, why u reduce the battery capacity?? Why don't u use 6K Mah battery??? I don't matter the phones size, to me battery life was the important, SOC still the best, charge 120w its okay,

For front & rear cameras: Natural-looking / true-to-life (not too saturated), Decent OIS / EIS, Good dynamic range, Low noise, Sharp, Great audio recording and incremental (but necessary) improvement over last year's model - who gets your vote...
