The "early bird" price for the 12/256 was €499 in Europe. Of course, I only saw that price twice for a couple of hours on the italian and spanish amazon. Nowhere else. Now it sells for €630. Meanwhile, the 12/512 version of K60, which also features a 5500 battery, was selling for around €400 in China.

So, a pretty significant downgrade of the Chinese version is about €230 more expensive lmao. For €500 it's borderline VFM, even the downgraded version. For €630 this is hot garbage, so Xiaomi and its retailers can keep the garbage for themselves.

The same pretty much applies to the non-pro version as well.

                                  For features actually being less than the original model (K60), have to spend an extra 60 Euros for:
                                  - the battery being smaller,
                                  - the wifi being 6 and not 6e,
                                  - the screen being Amoled instead of Oled
                                  - being splash resistant

I did not say nor imply that all xiaomi phones allow custom rom installation. I implied one should buy a xiaomi phone that allows that so one can avoid using miui.
