It's not easy for others to tell you which one works better because configuration of the device varies.

I just bought it last week. It's a good phone! I have no issue with it (yet). Internets working fine, performance are great, charge really fast... Just one minor problem.. it's the battery life is a bit worse than i imagine. Maybe i have to wait for HyperOS update. Overall it's a great phone!

A.M, 11 Dec 2024What is the point to disable always on display all the time... moreNo hardware issues, it's just a case with Xiaomi limiting software features for cheaper devices, so you're forced to buy their more expensive ones.

Also watched the tear down videos and made sure it's doable on my own.
F6 should be also as easy as F3 though it may take some time until the battery becomes available online.

JimmyTheGreatest, 29 Nov 2024I have no idea how much the battery, in and by itself, cost... moreYes, the service cost screws as it can cost higher than purchase price of the device itself.
I purchased battery somewhere else online for $7 + glue T7000 for less than $1.
Just that took like 2 hours for me to carefully replace it on my own.

I chose F3 on purpose after verifying tear down easy enough to do on my own + availability of battery online.
The battery comes together with some basic tools to open the phone (was being sold for like $8).
I used hair dryer for loosen up the glue.
Need T-7000 glue (purchase for less than $1 online).
*If it was Pixel or some other complicated model, I wouldn't be confident enough to replace battery on my own.
In case you find the right model in the future & cost of service ain't worth, you may want to try replacing battery on your own *though make sure you have back up phone in case you screw it up.

It's probably the labour cost and taxes that pushes up the price. I don't think the cost of the battery production is the cause of the problem, because they're mass-produced industrially. They probably cost peanuts. We in the EU have become too addicted to foreign import. We lost a lot of our skills in recent decades, we're not even capable of something as trivial as replacing a battery in a common commodity. When was the last time you saw EU produce in other countries, other than maybe red wine...

It's also something to do with their phone usage; for example, most people here don't do anything but Facebook, Line chat and online shopping even though they want to own higher grade typically iPhone and Samsung

However, have you considered buying a second hand camera? There's nothing wrong with a used camera, maybe its former owner hastily passed away and his/her family wanted to get rid of the belongings... You might find a powerful camera at a cheap price.

JimmyTheGreatest, 28 Nov 2024You won't save any money in the long run if you buy a ... moreI will definitely consider your advice. But right now my priority is to see if i can find a good/decent alternative to trade-in my 13T for a newer phone. As it stands my choices are either a Nord 4 or a Pixel 8 or a 9. Avoiding any Xiaomi-branded phones, Vivo or Realme or Motorola.
