The Samsung and the iPhone 16 also jumping in between 5G and 4G at most of the area. If only the POCO have the issue then I would blame all about POCO issue. To solve the problem, either go into hidden setting to lock to 5G but forget about VoLTE, or just lock to 4G and forget about 5G, because 5G make the usage pretty useless even at some area can get full stable 5G.

So there is something inside me that bugs me if i buy old soc cores (a55)... but i go mad if F6 gives me software bugs and bad battery. i guess i will wait for x7 pro or a56.. but then i go mad when i see overpriced products at launch time...
vivo v40 is unavaivable here and honor 200 got massive price hike.

AnonD-1175487, 17 Oct 2024Why do you need to replace battery? Just get some newer mod... moreBecause I am into a custom rom.
It is very time consuming to re-flash and reconfigure the device.
& depends on where you stay and how you use the phone, the battery can go bad fast.

If you're a casual user and you don't care about performance too much, go with A55. It also has a microSD expansion slot if you want more storage.

But if you don't need a new phone right now, you can wait next year and see what both the A56 and Poco X7 Pro have to offer.

                  A55 256/8GB is same price as F6 512/12GB...
F6 is faster more ram n storage which i like.
But A55 is alluminium + better endurance battery and protection/support sofware..
I really dont like paying more for less and old hardware (A55) but i dont like paying for crappy software and battery neither...
Should i wait for A56 and poco X7 pro??

Strelock, 16 Oct 2024does anyone have an issue with 5G network? i thought me not... moreThis is all about your mobile carrier and also your mobile reception. I would say for Snapdragon chip, there is far less reception issue, but your 5G network telco could have much more issue regarding the coverage as this happen to my country as well. Because by theory, your smartphone will switch to the strongest reception network for data and calling, but this restrict your 5G usage.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2024Have you guys seen tear down video of pocos including with ... moreWhy do you need to replace battery? Just get some newer model in 3 years and you are all set.
But seriously now, Xiaomi phones (mainly Poco and Redmi) are very cheap usually. And with some nice discounts, you can get some very nice phones with 250-350EUR (upper mid-rangers let's say). And combine these prices with what you will get for your current phone (considering is not broken or anything), and you will end up paying 150-200EUR for a good mid-range phone.
Once per 3 years, that's not bad at all. And no need to change battery in 3 years time (I mean I hope not). I never used a 67-120W phone for more than 1 year. But probably it will not die in 2 years the battery of these high charging speed phones.

does anyone have an issue with 5G network? i thought me not having a 5G pack was the reason but nope.
after recharge i was still getting 4g LTE i tried to restart but after few min it goes back to 4G again. then i did the good ol SA mode but nope ... no luck.
finally a reddit post (as usual) i have to use "NR only" then i finally got consistent 5G catch was i cannot make a call if other person does not have 5G NR..ughh
anyway if someone has this issue here is the solution-
About Phone>Detailed Info and specs> Tap "internal storage" 4 times> phone info 1> Set preferred network type> NR only
Edit- Please reply if this happening with EU roms as well? if not that means there's hope since EU always gets best updates early

That being said, it might be better idea not to look at these numbers as they often aren't trustworthy due to many different conditions.

Perhaps as for performance wise, it would have been quite much better if the manufacturer had absolute control over the chip & apps.
However, that would cause monopoly and loss of freedom.

sd8sGen3 is a power hungry chip even other brands it gives a ok-ish and backup hyperOS being the clown of optimization it's even lower...
honestly 7+Gen3 has some better usage results like performance is identical better battery etc sadly my options were gt 6t (curved screen ughh) and oneplus nord 4 which is now giving free light sabers after updates so imo if you are not into emulation just wait for a better 7+gen3 device instead.

Some other thing that is quite annoying in Android phones, is the screen time in "digital wellbeing and parental controls".
For example, if I use an app/game for 1 week, that app/game will appear in my screen on time chart (with X minutes/hours per day). But, if I delete that app/game from phone, all the screen on time for that app will be deleted from previous days. So, my screen on time from previous days will not show the correct time anymore.
And I don't understand why is this happening in Android phones. In iPhones for example, it doesn't matter if you delete an app/game, all the screen on time of that app/game from previous days will remain in the screen on time settings. In this way you will have a correct data (correct number of hours per day) in screen on time.
