Guys tell me if this phone is good for almost average usage like I'm not a heavy gamer, I just need it for durability because I don't want to change phone month after month. I just use social media and play a game for 30 minutes a day or not even that.

try to avoid buying Redmi 9T and Poco M3
these two models use same build and having reboot@boot issue after OTA updates.
if your device isnt hardware damaged,try looking for a LAPTOP and charge your phone using the LAPTOP USB.the port is slow charge but ppl tried using this method and able to turn their phone back on,i myself tried this method.
but it will not solve the reboot@boot problem.Please note.
just avoid reboot@turn off if you are able to switch your phone back.
i dont think its the hardware problem because this bug happened after the MIUI update.

Phone is really good in this price range. Camera, battery, memory & storage are the main features. Handy and strong plastic body. Can easily give you a whole day in a single charge with 6000MAh battery. Powerful stereo speakers.
Cons:
Touch sensitivity is not so good. Cannot distinguish between two very near taps
Camera focus is slow and unable to focus on small objects. picture quality is still good.
Screen max brightness feels a bit low when outdoors in daylight but good indoors.

Btw I'm still stuck at MIUI 12.0.8 and the phone still works perfectly fine.

I would choose amoled just for a change, because til now I was using mostly IPS LCD.

This phone has a lot of software issues. It is a good phone spec vs price wise. But the performance is not on par with the specs on paper.
I think it's all down to the MiUi. It is to put it nicely total crap. It holds the phone back in major way. It's laggy, buggy and the access permissions seems a little sus.
I have this phone for 3 months now. The worst thing I faced is what many other users here pointed out as the reboot problem. Now you may think Ok, just don't reboot your phone and restart it. Yeah, you know that but your phone does not. I first faced this problem after a system update. The phone reboots by itself and was unresponise for 3 days. Yeah, 3 days without a phone. It happened again after a few days again when I accidentally rebooted the phone. This time it was responisive again after about 30 hours. You can see how much of a pain this is. Xiaomi in a official thread said this is due to their new implimentation of memomry performance. They are not doing anything to fix this and this issue has been present for a couple of months now.
The phone on paper is a great value for money. I like using this as a daily driver when it works. But I suggest getting rid of the MiUi as soon as you get the phone if you want the full potential of what this has to offer.

The worst phone I've ever had. Not in terms of specs but the quirks of the MiUI are too numerous eg never ever tap reboot but restart instead. Reboot KOs the phone, pressing the power button for a long while does nothing and neither power + volume up or down. The phone went out at around 78% battery, waited almost 24 hours before charging, after 3 hours of charging did the power button become responsive again. Battery level was at 62%. What's worse is this happened to me while at work!!! Imagine not having access to your phone til the next day. Could have tried to open the back cover to reconnect the battery but since even the oldest phone is still under warranty, that is something i don't want to do. Since that happened the first time, I wasn't aware and tried rebooting again. Same nonsense all over again.
Also the display is the most sensitive ever. If the cable touches the screen while unlocked, expect a lot of accidental launching of apps. And talking about apps, I've had ads in games that are able to bypass the volume control and play at the loudest volume even to this day. The only solution I've found is to constantly plug in an earphone.
I have yet to resolve the hotspot problem of the phone to my laptop. Hotspot seems to be able to connect to every device i've tried except my laptop. Only tethering seem to work to gain access to data usage on the laptop.
Overall, this phone is a 3/10. If it wasn't for the price vs specs aspect, i would've given a worse score. Staying away from Xiaomi phones in the future.

I will never buy any Xiaomi phones again!
I regretted buying this phone after 1 day.
There are 7 different "system apps" with permission to the recorder and there is no way to disable this!
why is there a system app called karaoke that I cannot disable its permissions?
Why do I need to create a Mi account and enter a sim card and wait 1 month in order to gain access to the boot loader? so I won't be able to remove Xiaomi spyware without them knowing my phone number...WTF!?
They are bluntly spying on users!!!

I just bought this phone. camera is good 48mp not like flagship but good I used j2 6 before. compared to that is a huge leap now I can take usable shots in night. Battery life is awesome. I am a heavy user and gives me 1 whole day of constant usage. Performance is something to be desired but normal gaming and internet app usage is good. I just wish camera and video had more features like brightness adjustment and at least software based image stabilization. Happy with the product 🙂
