Hi,
For anyone who owns this smartphone, is it normal that top speaker sound is lower in comparison to the bottom speaker?
like you can feel the air from bottom speaker, but not from top one.

first of all, its a great phone especially to those who isn't really tech savvy like my girlfriend.
it gets the job done.
Few things I noticed:
1. There's a delay on gyroscope input when playing games that support it.
--- which is understandable since this phone doesn't have a dedicated gyroscope sensor
2. The 18W charger brick isn't fast enough to charge while using the phone.
---had to turn on the ultra battery saving if my gf wants to charge so that the charge speed is kinda increased a little bit.
Overall, its a great phone for those who want a decent phone with just a little over $130(128GB variant)
the loudspeakers are decent(can still hear even inside the market) thumbs up for that!
remember, it's just a little over $100 phone. don't expect an all in one flagship phone there must be corners need to be cut in order to keep the price low

Laptop is an ASUS A542U. The only way my laptop can connect the net via this phone is through tethering. Can't figure out why it won't connect with hotspot.

Decent performance for price although the MIUI 12 is full of bugs . Camera is below average and the zoomed photo and videos are not good . Good battery performance. And it's gets excellent network speed due to carrier aggregation. Good sound quality. But there is a heating problem when charging. Most disappointing is the camera . Anyone will get a better camera at this price. The 2mp cameras are just gimmick and of no use and literally the camera shoots in 12 mp instead of 48 mp.

WIFI hotspot is functional, there's an option in developer settings called "Turn on WiFi coverage extension" with the description "Extend WiFi coverage using hotspot". I don't know what it does though.

Does anyone issues with reception? Planning to buy this mainly to use as a portable hotspot as well as a phone. Won't be using much with WiFi so connectivity is important.

POCO M3 — Good phone, good specs, expectations too high. Especially yours, GSMArena user reviewers right below me.
Honestly, this is the best phone you can find for about $130. It's actually better than my Oppo F3 which was around 2.3x more expensive when I bought it ($300). If you've got a pretty old phone and your budget is tight, look no further. I'll go a bit more in-depth in the following section:
Camera: If you use the stock camera app, don't expect good results. Not even average results. The software processing in Xiaomi's stock camera app is so horrendous I would uninstall it if I could. **USE GCAM** Seriously. BSG 8.1 (snap version) or Nikita 2.0 is the best GCam port you can get for the M3 (as of the time of writing, 03/07/2021 MM/DD/YYYY) You can get 1080p60 (for real!), night sight, Google's godly software processing (how do they do it?), slow motion support up to 1/4, and many more. For those people who complain about the camera, try doing some research first, and don't expect the best when using a $130 phone.
Battery: The best of its kind. The 6000mAh battery can last you a whole day or more if you'll just use your phone for browsing social media and consuming multimedia. You can get at least half a day if you game. Not bad. Even better when you consider that this phone comes with fast charging (cable and power brick included in the box, thank God!)
Display: Since the M3 uses an IPS display, you might notice a yellowish tint. That's actually a pretty normal characteristic of an IPS display. You will get used to it, to the point that it actually becomes your white. This phone has pretty good color accuracy when set to Standard, nice! Brightness is good, contrast is okay, viewing angles are the best (it's an IPS... what do you expect, 3°?) Pro tip: Use auto-brightness. Improves your battery life since your display isn't always pumping out unnecessary power, and it'll save your eyesight at night :)
Performance: The SoC is good enough. Don't expect to game at max settings on this phone, you'll be disappointed. This wasn't made for gamers, but that doesn't mean you can't game on it! Here are some games I've tested:
CoDM: Defaults to High, set it to low so you get a stable 60 fps in-game.
Wild Rift: Stable 60fps at Very High. You can only go for 30fps at Ultra. I don't know why Riot limits it. I really feel like the M3 can go higher than 30fps at Ultra. Riot, please fix.
Genshin Impact: Oh boy. This game is pretty much a benchmark now. At default (low) settings, the frame rate is all over the place. You can get 60 fps inside domains, but outside, the frame rate can go as low as 10 fps sometimes, averaging about 20-25 fps. If you're a low budget gamer like me (coming from the Oppo F3 which can't even run CoDM or Wild Rift at a stable 30fps on the lowest settings), the experience is still highly enjoyable.
Minecraft: 60fps stable, 8-14 chunks render distance. I had to include this one.
Storage: With UFS 2.1 (2.2 for the 128GB version according to the website of the M3), the experience is awesome. Get the 128GB version of the M3. I made the mistake of going with the 64GB version instead and I regretted it. Link2SD is my savior. CPDT results:
Seq. Write: 144.73MB/s
Seq. Read: 424.92MB/s
Rand. Write: 15.07MB/s
Rand. Read: 13.02MB/s
Memory copy: 4GB/s
Speakers and audio: The M3 supports Hi-Res audio with upto 384Khz (according to Neutron). Very nice. Speakers are stereo and they sound great (although I don't use them that much, I'm a headphone user.)
If you want the best out of this phone, I recommend switching to Xiaomi.eu. Less bloatware than stock MIUI, very smooth. Use Lawnchair instead of the POCO launcher. According to someone in the official telegram group of the POCO M3, installing the Pixel Experience 10 GSI, you are able to get 120Hz off the M3. I haven't tested it on my own, but he says the difference is noticeable. If you want to find out more, join the telegram group of the POCO M3. You'll find out a lot, and people there will help you should you encounter any problems :)

sayabosanhidup, 07 Mar 2021and so does this phone have any heating issues and how long... moreNope, it never overheats. I'm rooted and I also use King Tweaks set to Gaming mode when gaming (which basically maxes out your CPU-GPU in hopes to get the most performance) Even when playing Genshin Impact it never heats up to an uncomfortable level, in 30°C weather.
