Ther, 04 Oct 2021Anyone have the 4gb ram build? Is 4gb ram good enough for g... moreI'm using it now for more than 1 month. The games that i've played using this 4gb phone is Fifa Mobile, Pes E-Football Mobile and also PUBG. For PUBG, the gameplay quite smooth with a high setting of graphic. It is quite a good phone for PUBG but unfortunately i have the motion sickness. So i've uninstalled it from my phone.

Kiko, 07 Sep 2021RAM is for multitasking only, to smooth performance you bet... moreRunning background apps is also muli-tasking. Even if you close them down, they are still running on the background (they are connected to various features of your phone like location, caches, etc.) that is why it is important to have enough ram capacity especially if you have many apps installed. 4GB is not enough today, 6GB is normal, 8GB is enough and 16GB are for hardcore gamer. 32 GB are for enthusiast.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2021This exactly why the Moto G50 with 4GB and stock Android is... moreYes because the G50 uses near enough stock android!!
Miui is a heavy (& awfully buggy) UI, which definitely slows down the system, unless a very high end chipset is being used to power the device with sufficient ram.
If we take the redmi note 9t as an example - it has a fairly decent mid range chipset (800u) with 4gb ram. When using multiple apps, then using the youtube app, the system slows down. Video playback starts to jitter etc. Generally creating a lag infested interface.
However - using the same chipset (800u) in the realme 7 5g, with 6gb ram - the performance is flawless. Practically lag free and very speedy.
It's down to ui optimization too, but it's common knowledge that miui is a resource hog, therefore, the more ram the better.
4gb with miui, with a entry level 5g chipset such as the D700, isn't going to provide the best performance experience. For only a few $$ more, the 6gb variant can be purchased, which will definitely improve stability and multi tasking/overall experience.

Not true for their Mid-Range phones. I have been a Samsung user for 5 years and all of them starts to lag after a year of use.
