Great phone. Not even sure why would someone want a more expensive one, as this runs everything I need it to.

viper, 09 Mar 2021has anyone brought this phone from wirelessplace? i want to... moreIs it the official xiaomi store for Sri Lanka? If yes, go for it. If not, there might be risk involved.
I suggest joining Xiaomi Facebook groups for Sri Lanka, and ask there.
That's also how I made sure when I bought online.

I bought it from Mistore website. It's the Xiaomi's official online store in my country.

The package arrived in mint condition. Not even a single corner of box was damaged or "pressed". You wouldn't be able to tell that I ordered it online instead of buying it from shop.
The phone is working great without any issues as well.

NikiDroid, 10 Mar 2021Have you try install it?No, I'll install it when it's out of beta.
              I don't update phones unless it's a major update/fixes a bug that I'm experiencing/brings a feature that I want.

Updating causes bugs, and it's not always fault of the update. The bugs are mostly due to faulty adaptation of update. That's why some people experience issues that others don't, like battery drain.
To fix such bugs, it's recommended to perform hard reset after updating. It fixes 90% of the bugs caused by updates.

              Thus the wait.

Poco X3 is finally getting Android 11.
                  Confirmed by XDA.

You can already download it, but it's in "Stable Beta" phase.
It'll take a little longer for it to roll out officially.

Search: (Poco X3 Android 11 XDA) if you want to download or read about it.

R, 03 Mar 2021There are plenty of times that the screen turns black whene... moreSame black screen issue with me.
I viewed tutorial videos on youtube and they all suggested the same remedy.
                            1. Turn on developer options in settings (this is done by tapping several times the MIUI Version for POCO in "About Phone")
                            2. Go to developer options and find "game driver preferences" then select "call of duty" and change the driver from "default" to "system graphics driver".
                            3. Then open game and reduce the graphics and frame rate both to "high".

I did all this and enjoyed good gaming experience although on lower graphics but the black screen issue was resolved. But unfortunately, this also worked for just 2-3 days and after that I am again facing the same black screen issue. Additionally, now I sometimes get glitches instead of complete blackout.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2021i have watch some battery draining test videos on youtube (... more"YouTube tests"

Unless you know each & every setting that "YouTuber" did in Phone - as well as understand effect + impact of every single setting & feature of the phone yourself, you've no business watching "YouTube tests".

Someone without geek-level of Android knowledge will only reach dumb conclusions by watching YouTubers - most of whom only make videos to get views, rather than actually educating viewers.
But then again, what else do you expect them to do? That's their entire business.

Few decent YouTubers that I recommend include Tech Jock (Geek stuff, Accurate Reviews) & Gupta Information System (durability tests).
There are 2 others. One who is good at "Phone Tear Down" videos & another is very new but he makes good "Tests/Benchmarks".

I'm personally getting more battery timing than anyone around me (class or the trip I went to). My friends literally emptied their power banks twice & tried to save battery by limiting phone use.

Meanwhile, I didn't care one bit, used phone on full brightness with location, mobile data, and literally used camera for hours to record videos in 4K using Gcam - without charging once.
I returned home after 22 hours with 1% battery still remaining.

I get 10-13 hours SOT inside house, even after playing PUBG FOR 4 HOURS. With 8+ hours of Standby timing.
Totalling to 17-20 hours of battery timing.

If I want better battery than this, I should go buy a keypad Commando Phone with 18,000mAh battery that'll last 30 days.
                                        What about you?
