Excellent phone but the display sucks. I regret recommending it to a friend due to the poor display. Like one look at the phone and the display looks dull. Apart from that, excellent chipset, decent enough camera, great battery, great charging

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2021is the camera really good?..im planning to buy one and the ... moreThe back camera really impressed me. It captures good quality, noise free (grain free) videos & pictures when in lowlight with just one 12W bulb at night.
The video modes are just amazing, as you can see in Gsmarena review. It can record stabilised 4K from Ultra Wide Camera & even stabilised 1080P@60FPS.
Selfie camera isn't as good & Gcam is 100% needed to take good Selfies.
The Gcam I use is ( UltraCVM_v8.apk ) with setting/config file from XDA ( UltraCAM8_v2.xml ), but I edited the config a little to make it better. It captures very good selfies with it, and I'm hoping to make it even better.
Stock camera has high sharpness in Selfie Camera, which is why it isn't good. It makes it look like you've open pores even when you don't. Front cam should always have minimum possible sharpness before the point of being blur.
And I also think its saturation is slightly higher than it should be - making your skin look darker/browner than it actually is, but all Xiaomi phones have high saturation.

DocShep, 27 Feb 2021When are we receiving android 11 for this phone guys?? I... moreI rather wait a little longer and have a stable update, than one full of bugs.
Besides, why do you need Android 11? There is a feature in Android 11 you are interested in, which is not present in Android 10?

ICE, 26 Feb 2021yes same issue.. up to now i have to deal with. had regrets... moreIt's fixable. I saw someone share YouTube video in Poco X3 FB group for fixing black screen in Call of Duty.
I don't have the link nor does Gsmarena allow YouTube links, so you'll have to look it up.

Macro camera is totally useless. Has anyone taken any usable photo with it?
Instead of adding two 2mp camera, they should have opted for single 5 MP camera that could be used for both distance measuring and other purposes like macro or telephoto.

Zaq, 25 Feb 2021Thanks for the reply. Lowest setting in genshin looks amazi... moreNo, it won't I'm afraid. Summer hasn't hit hard yet where I live. I only felt hot today lol.
Throttling is a Kernel/Software mechanism which restricts CPU/GPU (chipset) performance (frequency/Mhz/Ghz) to cool them down & avoid damage.
It triggers at a certain temperature that's set by the Manufacturer & when it does, it causes easily notable lag/frame drop in games or even cause phone to restart.
That's why cooling won't help its performance - unless it's already at throttling/overheating temperature.
35-40FPS is pretty good for this phone in Genshin Impact. I suspect it might drop to 30-35 in *very heavy* situations/fights.
I saw a YouTuber testing Genshin Impact & even Snapdragon 855 or 855+ phone faced frame drops in this game (50-60, I think). Snapdragon 732G of this phone is much weaker than that chipset.
Only Snapdragon 865 phones maintained stable 60FPS in Genshin Impact. Not sure if the game has been optimized since then or not.
A lot of it is actually game developers' fault. They didn't optimize the game throughly, which is why most phones can't maintain high FPS in it.
For example, PUBG FPS used to drop to 45 just 4 or so months ago. But after optimisation, I now get almost stable 60FPS in PUBG. Though, still have to unlock using GFX Tools.
If you want at least 40FPS+ in all heavy games, especially Genshin Impact, I suggest you to aim for Snapdragon 800 series phones (except SD820/821 because they overheat easily).
For me, it was a shock to get stable 60FPS in PUBG from a Snapdragon 700 series phone - and I'm happy with it because I only expected unstable 45-50FPS before I bought it.

POCO X3 user, 25 Feb 2021Does anyone have problem with making or receiving calls? ca... moreNo. Try cleaning data of all call apps & see if it fixes it.
If it doesn't, I think your best bet is to perform a hard reset.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2021How to roll back to 12.0.6.Sorry, I don't know but I know where you can find the answer.
Join Poco X3 Telegram groups & ask there. I'm sure many people have downgraded to 12.0.6 already.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2021You are smart, 1207 has major problems, heating and lagging... moreThank you. I actually don't trust MIUI at all. I think Xiaomi phones have most bugs out of all Android phones. I also have 12.0.9 update pending now lol.
Xiaomi phones get a lot of updates, which only increases chances of getting more bugs. It's not always fault of update - a lot of times, the update doesn't apply properly which leads to issues like battery drain & heating.
In that case, you've to reset your phone to fix it because Xiaomi can't fix it by an update. It's even recommended to reset your phone every time you get an update.
That's why I only update my phones if the update fixes an issue that I'm personally experiencing, or when there's a specific feature in update that I want to get.
