Poco x3 pro after the update 12.5.2 has become something else entirely different! It doesn't lag any more when using the control center. And it's a whole lot smoother and lighter. And when you use the 120hz it's like the pages are floating when you are navigating between them. I didn't regret buying it. And I really recommend it for low budget gamers.
But if you're not a gamer I guess you're better off buying Redmi note 10 pro as it's better in everything else except the performance.

After MIUI 12.5.2, the phone has become something else! It's now a lot faster and smoother. No lagging now while using the control center. It almost feels like the 60hz option of 12.5.2 equals to the speed of 120hz of 12.0.6 ..
Believe me the phone now is almost flawless with the new update..
Completely recommended for low budget gamers. And even for high budget gamers since I don't recommend buying an expensive phone! You can buy a ps5 or an xbox instead of wasting money on an expensive phone.
That's just my opinion

Picked it over the F3 not because it's cheaper, because it's better suited for my needs, expansion slot and 3.5mm headphone jack is what I really need, the screen , although not amoled, is still great, and 5g is meh at best.

For games, there are minimum and recommended and also max performance for CPU and GPU, you cannot generalize all games are the same.
So, now the question actually down to personal budget and requirement/usage.
If can afford, of course going with SD870 is better, but if want saving, then get at least SD860.
The rest, well, is a mix and match of the budget, you can get better screen, better camera, or can get micro SD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc.

Interms of GPU the SD870 has Adreno 650 vs Adreno 640 on the SD860 which is so noticeable when playing Genshin or other High demanding GPU games! ALSO the difference in Antutu is 40% (634k vs 450k) Which is very huge in diff and also in Geekbench the SD870 has 43% higher single core score (1030 vs 721) and it also is 36% higher in multiscore (3444 vs 2531) Check your info next time

mafumafu, 21 Jun 2021860 and 870 is FAR from each other 860 is an OC'd 855... moreIts almost impossible to see difference in speed, this is not sd 460 vs 860/870, in rly everyday usage is 99% the same. Difference in battery drain depends most from the optimisation, not amoled or lcd. Dont look just test on youtube, test by your own experience. Dont believe me, try it.
