The electrical current gets less or more, which results in stronger or weaker light. Has nothing to do with PWM tech whatsoever. Hence Xiaomi shouldn't lie and be honest with it instead.

No offense, i used to thought that way... LCD or OLED aren't any big deal as long as you don't compare them side by side.
However, i once (LCD) exposes under the sunny day...
My gosh, for a moment i thought the screen couldn't be wake, and it's very annoying that you have to find a shady area just in other to view...
But on the contrary, OLED has no difference between indoor and outdoor at all. Now i understood why OLEDs are so sought after, it isn't always about the luxury but practicality as well. (OLED) It's truly amazing!

Duderinoat, 03 Oct 2022What the f*ck. I thought this phone had full DC dimming. No... moreAll LCD, OLED panels use PWM. Every TV, computer monitor, smartphone screen all employ PWM and have been doing it for decades.
The only question is how low is the PWM frequency. Some people are sensitive below 500Hz(mostly on OLED panels) and some are sensitive even upto 1kHz, but beyond that it shouldn't affect anyone.
Poco X4 GT PWM frequency is 51kHz which is beyond anyone's sensitivity.
So stop worrying about PWM on LCD panels.

I believe the same phone is available on the European markets as Poco X4 GT. It was the first day of the much awaited Great Indian Festival sale where the price got reduced to INR 23K ($284, €290) for the 8/256 GB memory variant. Just blown away by this device, the best phone on the market under sub $300 price bracket. Will have to wait and see how it performs on the long run.
It is the best LCD color accurate display I have ever come across. And it is also the brightest LCD I have ever seen. I got the blue color variant and it looks beautiful and feels solid in hand.
The presence of 3.5mm audio jack is GOD sent, and the analogue audio quality through headphone jack is good. It has a HiFi audio setting and delivers a level of bass slam through headphones which I missed for a long time on other smartphones. The stereo speakers are also decent.
