I have recently got this phone in Poland on early bird offer 1699.00 PLN but I already am considering sending it back, the phone throttles performance to reduce temperature but this can get optimized, it's MTK we are used to not expect optimization soon - the phone dropped frames to 30 on extended gaming session when on boot camp landing(PUBG)... The phone has double speakers which causes the plastic back on the phone to resonate which gives VERY unpleasant vibrations when trying to play with speakers, playing music, or talking WhatsApp while using speaker. The AUX jack is positioned on top left side and relative to the camera isle mounted in top left corner whichever way you place your fingers it can get uncomfortable for long period of gameplay (with the headphones plugged into the jack & charger). The D8100 and Wifi 6 has subpar latency to that of 2.4GHz and 5GHz network and is badly optimized on this phone. Coming from RN 8 PRO latency is bigger from 2ms to 4-6ms when phone is connected to WiFi router(RT-AX86-U) by itself, I didn't experience problems with the LTE/GSM module. On my end due to software the phone experiences occasional latency spikes in-game(350 ms aberration on EU server while other servers remain at 130ms....) that resolve when router is reset along with phone being reset(software issues on D8100 connectivity to routers) On battery side you can customize phone to use GSM module only instead of being connected to 3G/LTE/5G nodes all the time to save battery on network usage(5G is badly optimized). I play 5 fingers with Gyro and although user experience is similar to my last phone the camera isle is positioned high and will make it so that when you hold phone it will annoy you( better choice would be camera isle in middle of phone or in-built to case). POCO game space is fun to customize the games and refresh rate to save battery and stress on the processor(due bad optimization this app is useful). Success of this phone depends on future software updates( you may need to do factory reset every 1-2 updates to get optimal performance). Testing this phone from 4th July. Charger, silicon case, screen protector is a nice touch, screen on this phone is exceptionally good. Best Regards,

Yes. In fact, they have now corrected the specs listed here. This morning it still said 20 MP, but it's now 16.

I just contacted Xiaomi and the guy told me he needs to check with technical staff if Poco utilizes Huaxing as well for now. Crossing my fingers.

I'm actually tempted to buy it just out of curiosity, but I'm not sure this would be such an improvement over the phone I'm using now. I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy a52s. This Poco has a similar battery life, although I'd get 2 more gb of ram and the processor is way more powerful in all aspects.
The main thing is that the best way to get all the potential out of this phone would be getting an AOSP rom, but that won't happen with a Mediatek chipset. But I'm still truly tempted, although I'd loose other important things, such as OIS.

it's not exactly mixing like non plus model, since the reviewer said 80w model use BOE while 150w use Tianma.
Same phone but with different charging speed just like note11tpro/plus and the screen is also came from 2 supplier. Different supplier equal different result since their manufacturing process is different, like samsung vs tsmc.
From what I remember the non plus model first batch also had same screen as plus model(certified A+) but after that it's mixed with the other supplier.
This is my guess but probably Xiaomi will phase out A+ screen from non plus model to save cost, and for x4 gt is not using any A+ screen
I am not saying non A+ screen is bad, the difference is probably minimum since ips screen is already mature technology. It's just certified screen definitely cost more to buy/produce, hence only the plus model guarantee to got it since it also cost more to buy for customer. While the non plus got same A+ at launch(maybe supply issue?), mixed one after launch and probably later will only use the non certified one to make more profit.
