Anonymous, 12 Nov 2022Guys is it normal that my battery drains fast, I just bough... moreIt's quite normal for an IPS with fast charging. You'll be lucky to squeeze out 10 hours of SOT doing basic tasks with an IPS.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2022Look at the pictures. It has FM radio app in app drawer.True, but the FM radio app is an empty shell, it's just a picture of a radio, not a real radio. Otherwise it's a very good smartphone. I still prefer to use my Poco F3, but Poco X4 GT is good, I don't regret buying it.

No issues at all. I had a Poco F3 which had a proximity sensor that failed a lot. No problems with the X4 GT.

Guru , 11 Nov 2022Been looking at this to buy because it had FM radio in spec... moreLook at the pictures. It has FM radio app in app drawer.

Review of this phone claims it has dynamic refresh rate. Well, after weeks of use, I've finally enabled Developer menu and enabled refresh rate display and it's just permanently stuck at 120Hz no matter what I do. Browser, menus, doesn't matter, it's always at 120Hz and never switches down to 60Hz when not touched for seconds. I'm using Default refresh rate selection that's suppose to be at least to a degree dynamic. What's up with that? That's a really disappointing discovery...

            EDIT:
As it turns out, it goes to 90Hz in Gallery for some reason and 60Hz in Camera app. I don't understand it, why is it so hard to default to 50Hz as mentioned or even 60Hz and if it detects screen touch, ramp it up. Even LCD can do that easily, yet it doesn't for some silly reason.

Anyone has issues with calls? Does it detect your face and lock itself during call? Some reviews question that but I find that hard to believe.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2022Guys is it normal that my battery drains fast, I just bough... moreWhere did you buy it from? Maybe you got a fake one. I know from my own personal experience that you can buy fake junk in many countries outside EU, because those countries don't have rigorous and strict quality control like in EU. My sister unknowingly bought a fake smartphone in one of those countries while on holiday. That fake smartphone set her house on fire while it was charging.

If you have the original X4 GT, then check the latest apps you installed, some apps misbehave.

Uninstall those bloatware you don't need, they are good for nothing.

Guys is it normal that my battery drains fast, I just bought this phone 1month ago

It would be perfect for the price if it has amoled and ip 52 or 53

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2022It has. You need wired headset for it to work.I disagree. Mine doesn't work even with a wired headset. FM radio doesn't work at all, I don't understand what it is doing there other than occupying space. It's just an empty shell doing practically nothing. But I like this smartphone anyway, it has all the things I need, a great bang for the buck! Just make sure it is compatible with the mobile network in your country. In Sweden it works perfectly well.

I have mine for a week already. It is perfect for me. Can run the heaviest games with the highest grahics and fps, ips lcd is super crisp and hd is perfect, battery and charging is so good, the only downside are the cameras and stereo speakers are mediocre. I cant believe they managed to put dimensity 8100 in this price range.

                              A, 11 Nov 2022Poco F4, Poco F4 GT or this one?//Poco F4, Poco F4 GT or this one?
F4 record 4k@60fps and have better still shots in dark enviroment.
F4 have not flicker free AMOLED with low PWM frequency. And don't have audio jack. ((

It is extremely disappointing that the 8100 supports 4k@60fps and OIS in hardware, but Xiaomi decided to save on the sensor and optics. I personally have never played on smartphones (this is complete nonsense) and never will, but alas, it is no longer possible to buy a well-balanced phone that is not harmful to the nervous system.

Unfortunately, people who are sensitive (with a fast nervous system - this is the problem, according to some scientific studies) to low-frequency flicker were deliberately left on the market with no choice with a high-quality photo part (8k/4k@60+OIS).

I would be happy if someone made a normal smartphone for low-frequency flicker-sensitive people:
6" IPS 400ppi+ (1600:1+) with 4k@60fps (bitrate up to 150Mbits) and an LED sensor for notification of incoming events and without any cutouts in the screen. Also, an audio jack is a must.

But alas, most of the slow nervous people on the planet and manufacturers do what is enough for most - they just do not notice the problem, at least for some time.

The minority always suffers because the choice is made in favor of the majority.

/*Strange, this model achieves a contrast ratio around 1500 in another popular site where PWM data is also available
But I guess this is the usual xiaomi tactic, they produce different quality screens for the same model
So how would we get the hq panel?*/
You guessed. Xiaomi is confusing buyers in this fraudulent way. Cheaper versions of the screens (as well as other components) at a ratio of about 8 to 10, allow them to keep the profit (thanks to the lower cost from the factory) at the right level. This is pure fraud and requires investigations by the antitrust authorities of all countries, but there is corruption everywhere. You can buy with a normal screen and other expensive components only by pull, having a familiar seller who agrees to sort out batches for you or having a friend at Xiaomi factories who will tell you the correct serial numbers of wholesale batches with high-quality components. There is no other way.

I personally witnessed this scam back in 2016 with mi4c - they were sold with at least 2 screens. One from Sharp 1500:1 is real and with AUO which has almost 3 times lower contrast. I video both and even measured. After the investigation, I understood this scheme thoroughly. They precisely dilute the batches in the ratio of 1-2 to 10 copies from the factory. And they try to send high-quality components for tests for a good review. And the fact that they are also available in retail with such a ratio is specially conceived - buyers, seeing that some still receive high-quality components, think that they were simply unlucky ... but more than bad luck. This is a scam system from many smartphone and laptop manufacturers. =)

The authors of the review say with such passion that there is no OLED screen here, forgetting the key thing - all AMOLEDs flicker nastily by very low PWM and hit hard on brain fatigue if you read from such a screen for a long time, especially for people with a fast nervous system, for whom PWM below 500 Hz is terrible at the level real feelings. So IPS here is set INTENTIONALLY for flicker sensitive people and we don't care about your "cool" but flickering AMOLED screens.

People who do not care about the flickering of OLED screens should choose other models and pass by - you are NOT the target audience.

But what really upsets me a lot is very muddy pictures in poor lighting. And low panel contrast. Even in cheaper models from Xiaomi, there was a contrast ratio above 2000:1, and here it should be at least 1600:1 with a glossy IPS.
