You can do so much with miui but with custom rom you can do so much more, the poco f1 community is the most custom rom enthusiastic and I am one of those.
If custom rom isn't the case, I will just buy iqoo, they are just eating up the market share that once xiaomi had. So they must be doing great on their part,
The vivo service center is on par If not better than samsung. In my city.

They would loose money , I am not a xiaomi insider or expert but I reckon they don't make much profit from selling phone, they cover up profit from software ads.
But still all rounders now a days cost 400, and one plus ace isn't that good , did you noticed bad build, no sd and 3.5mm jack etc are lacking.
And am also pretty sure in my country I can pick this phone up during festive sales around 250-300$

All you are comparing is the spec sheets and the performance, and lack any depth in understanding quality of the parts used in the device. Just because everything you care about is gaming does not mean other people buy phones just for that, x4 pro is a pretty well-rounded phone for its price range, considering the amoled display, a glass back and 67w charging. Not sure where you are based to think that redmi note series phones are as cheap as poco ones with similar specs, its quite the opposite in asian market.

Some people automatically assuming 860 is better than 778g. Wrong, 778g is more powerful and more efficient and 5g. It's the 860's GPU that's more powerful. That's not to say 778g has bad GPU either. But, overall 778g is a better processor.
However, 870g would have been perfect, since Poco brand was supposed to focus on performance. Who cares if it's "old"? It's still more efficient than 888 and 8 gen 1. An OIS would be nice too, would happily pay a bit more to get 870g, headphone jack, microSD card and OIS on same device, probably a nonexistent combination unfortunately.

this is rather a side-grade than upgrades.
atleast its got audio jack and sd card!!
i hope no bricking issue found in x3 pro.

You can buy it on Amazon though, but delivery fees and warranty are tricky then. I only buy phones in-store and in person so I can test them before buying.

The vast majority of people dont even know Custom Roms exists lmao. To the majority of users, choosing between Dimensity and Snapdragon is not a major talking point. Mediatek has the largest marketshare of any SoC producers and that proves my point. (Q3 2022, Mediatek at 35%, SD is at 31% lol). Also I dont get the idea of how the SD870 is "too old" Lmao. As long as it delivers good performance then its not a bad idea to put it in a phone, thats why the POCO F4 exists with an SD870 at 325 dollars
BTW, you can get a Dimensity 8100 in a 310 dollar phones with the X4 GT here in my country, or a Onepluse Ace with an 8100 and OIS Camera for 350 dollars. Thats why this phone is poop. Remember, the X4 Pro launched at 300-350 dollars with even worse hardware. The fact that you can get flagship level processor and good camera at 350 compared to this is criminal

Yes the Economy is going poop, but that means they should put even more value to actually incentivize smartphone users to buy phones. No one is buying this poop phone if you can literally get the better hardware and software with something like an A52s or just get a Redmi Note 12 Pro+ for pretty much the same price or a little bit extra. This thing almost has the same specs apart from the processor and charging as the 2 year old Redmi Note 10 Pro which is 220-240 dollars, thats how bad it is lol.
Thats my point, this thing doesnt make sense, its not the best value if you want a true all rounder, its not the best value if you want a budget gaming phone, its not the best value if you want a camera phone. The POCO X3 Pro even in today's bad economy still makes sense since its actually a very capable budget gaming phone.
Assuming this thing launches at the same price as the X4 Pro (300-350) then its poop. For reference, you can buy a Onepluse Ace for 350 dollars or a Pixel 6A for that price, both of which are infinitely better phones save for some small problems
When you have a bad economy, you FOCUS on VALUE. And this thing has bad value for the price.
This thing has NO IDENTITY, hence why its bad, POCO X4 Pro tries hard to be a Redmi phone while failing at it by essentially having worst overall specs for the same price lmao

SkyPunisher, 29 Jan 2023DISAPPOINTING processor, the last one GOOD model from Poco ... moreIf they include dimensity 8200 , sure its gonna be a killer , but the crucial stuff we like (custom rom) won't be possible (because even if its flagship killer, xiaomi still gonna downgrade the performance and may introduce some bugs like everytime), and sd 870 is old, if we want a decent sd processor we will need to jump from sd 870 to sd 8+ gen 1, and that will cost a lot. Like +100$ to 150$, and ofcourse gonna remove sd card and headphone jack, they always do, only reason I didn't went for poco f4 is headphone jack. Otherwise it was a no brainer.
