This phone doesn't have a proximity sensor. It uses Virtual Proximity. GSMArena needs to update this info.

NeonHD, 14 Mar 2024Not bad actually, considering the price, specs and design. ... moreDepth sensors on smartphones are no more than psychological gimmicks. They're usually low bin spec contact image sensors that are as small and cheap as possible (see GalaxyCore GC02M1). Many OEMs don't even ship software that utilizes them, and when they do they usually hardcode them to use the least amount of resources possible. The "portrait" or "bokeh" depth effect is achieved mostly through software, and you can confirm that without looking at code simply by the fact that flagship devices rarely feature depth sensors. You can also apply the effect with apps (see Photoshop Express & Google's editor). There are some devices (see older Huawei and some Apple) that utilize true "depth sensors" but again they're mostly useless. A macro camera is relatively more useful than a depth sensor in practical scenarios.

Why can't a phone have everything that we need. Why create this gem and not include NFC? 😑

I am pleasantly surprised to see someone fitting in 5000 Mah in mere 175 grams. Hope they launch a sub 160 gram replacement for a now ageing Mi 11 Lite from almost 3 years ago.
