I'm thinking of getting this phone, but a phone is a big investment even if it's on the cheaper side, so I want to make sure I'm making the right choice. I don't care about camera or anything else really, I just want the best gaming performance and this is the phone everyone was suggesting. I also saw some people suggesting the Xiaomi Poco F6, would that be any better? I also saw the OnePlus 12R recommended a lot, is its performance really that much better to justify the price? It's quite expensive for me so unless it's a significant upgrade compared to this phone, it's not really an option. Aside from these, are there any other competitors for gaming with a similar price as this phone, or is this my best choice? Is there anything upcoming I should consider waiting for? Also, how long should I expect this phone to last? I like to keep my phones for at least 4-5 years, so I don't want the performance suddenly worsening after just 1-2 years. I'd really appreciate some advice!

    Anonymous, 23 May 2024Can someone install Wuthering waves and see if thus phone c... moreI have the phone..it runs both genshin and hsr at max settings 60 fps flawlessly ..I never saw any frame drops in genshin but I saw some in hsr when the phone gets really hot..I didn't play ww but iam 10000000% sure it will run it at max settings perfectly since it ran stronger games smoothly..if there are any performance issues then it's not the phone's fault..it's an optimization issue cuz the game is new most likely

          I don't know why people hate the poco brand so much repeatedly saying they die quickly, are these people stuck in poco x3 pro era? Will rebranding f5 to rn 12 turbo, x6 pro to k70e, f6 to turbo 3 for global, fix this issue of distrust?, as people weirdly trust redmi brand, but not poco. This trust issues is big in my home country Indonesia and is probably big too in all SEA countries

And deadboot? Never heard of that before tbh.

              If people tends to have better camera i think Poco X6 Pro will slightly better than Poco F6 Pro.
              IMO, no other phone could compete this phone price / performance / feature that this phone offer at least untill first quater 2025. Not even Techno, Infinix, only Xiaomi itself could beat this beast if they want to by launching better phone but not at least at this short time.

                I expect that the Poco X6 Pro will still offer the best price-performance ratio, unless they release the Poco F6 at a lower price (unlikely!) than the Poco F5.

                    People who want to buy this phone should Wait for poco f6 release, that phone should have similar if not slightly more expensive price. That's because the camera according to hardware and comparisons between turbo 3 and x6 pro are pretty similar. But you'll get 4k60, slightly faster charging, faster CPU (similar gpu perf), and adreno support for emulator

And the superior screen alone is worth it, even if the prices were equal, because that’s how you will be interacting with it 99% of the time. Its promised security updates are also on par with your expectations.

                                  By the way, new firmware versions have solved the heating issues which SOME people have had (for example, GSMArena had no such issues while testing the phone).

                                  You might also want to check out the upcoming Poco F6, which launches this week. It has a better camera, even better performance and will cost about the same as the A55’s current prices, while offering more memory and a subjectively better design (slimmer and much lighter, too).

Samsung... moreI dont play games , just social media and upload some pics but as far as i know POCO does not have a bad cam either , it just interesting that a phone (POCO ) is overheating even in normal use . But Samsung is more expensive than POCO and I want a phone which will be with me 4 years etc.

                                    I was usiing redmi note 7 and it is still working

                                      I already using this phone for like a month and i truly amaze by how this phone perform, the screen is not the greatest but it's beautiful, camera is nice, SoC is very powerful etc its all great. The only problem is the battery, when i asleep i usually play a music so i can relax, so i play music on this phone and the battery is 25%, when i woke up i see my phone died. Although i asleep only for 6 hours. So yeah the only problem is the battery, many people says this phone is having overheating issue, but my experienced using this phone for playing genshin impact on high setting for like 1 hours its temperature is only 40-42 celcius, so it's bearable. My old Infinix Hot 8 Phone is nothing compared to this beast

Samsung for camera's, battery, software, etc. Both phones does overheat but Overall if you're choosing for normal usage Samsung. But if your gaming, Mediatek (Poco) > Exynos (Samsung)
