The problem with missing 3.5mm jack isn't that you can't connect wired headphones to the device—you can. It's because everything uses one connector—USB-C, it will wear out faster then it would if you just used it for charger.
Sooner or later, device will end up at the repair center for USB-C port change.

It isn't expensive. I think you can buy one for $5, but why remove something that was working and make it cumbersome for users?

hmm, 04 Dec 2023They offer you several RAM version of the same model and al... moreActually it'll be more expensive to add a micro sd card slot/3.5 jack to units now (vs overall units and cost) than to make a more air tight, water resistence phone (im including both non ip rated phones that are still water resisted and actual ip rated phones).
You're paying more for a sony or asus RoG phone (vs iphones, galaxy ultra phones which are already overpriced) just because they have 3.5 jack and micro sd, remember you have manufacturing costs added on per unit so you're just wrong.
Actually its cheaper to buy an actual portable 1tb SSD than it is a 1tb microSD (£40-60 vs £60-80, might be UHS-1 speeds too, so like 100-180mb/s read, even slower write speeds) so no idea where you're getting that "20" number from, if you want top speed micro SD you'll be looking closer to £200+ for a 1tb card, again just pay for cloud or get a decent portable SSD.
Apple have the crazy price hikes per storage option because they can, its that simple. They wanna charge £150 difference between 128gb and 256gb, they can and people will pay it (so its the buyers who are the issue by funding this), plus closed, in house eco system with closed source applications and tech, again this means THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT.
Also yes any half intelligent, common sensed brained person would pay an extra £50 for the storage option upgrade with ufs 4.0 speeds over just having a microSD slot (thats about 5000mb/s read for ufs 4.0 by the way, micro sd express tops out about 1000mb/s read, they are the ones that cost over £200 for 1tb versions) and thats if your phone accepts the card either so it would be cheaper to buy the upgraded storage option thats 5 times faster speeds and its built in. (so like £50 instead of over £200+ for slower speeds, talk about throwing money away)
A 20 dollar micro SD will be awful, if an ad says that then its a scam or an absolutely awful and slow micro SD thats not worth anybodys time.

I guess cheap portable SSDs and super cheap type C adapters or cloud storage are too logical for beyond stubborn people in this day and age.

Just watched antutu test on redmi turbo and k70e, cpu is better on redmi turbo ,k70e has better gpu and storage,battery is fked on k70e, turbo dropped less % after antutu even with less battery, also k70e heat more, and with 3,5mm jack redmi turbo still the best

SD card slot and 3.5mm is what drew me to xiaomi poco phones. Now the lack of it is driving me away! Are there any other recommendations people have for me? i am still using a X3 pro :)

Also I have several of those TWS buds and are annoying with their latency issues for gaming and obviously recharging every X times, sometimes i just want to forget about it and enjoy multimedia without worrying about battery.
Btw, I don't understand people like you defending big corps when they steal you right in your face and yes, I already know the removal of micro sd it's for selling you cloud services or phones with more storage(at a ridiculous higher price vs buying a microsd i.e. Iphones) and the removal of jack 3.5mm it's for selling their TWS buds, but those have more cons than pros like being super expensive, battery deterioration over time and latency. None should stay with their arms crossed while they rip you off.
And this is a flagship?
