Anonymous, 18 Jan 2024Unfortunately, the quality of the camera is very, very poor... moreLOL the phone is so good people are just exaggerating one of its shortcomings The camera is average, very comparable to everything else in this price range except for 2 or 3 phones which are centered around the camera. But then again they have much worse specs so unless you only care about camera, they are not worth it over X6 pro.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2024Unfortunately, the quality of the camera is very, very poor... moreThey have to make some tradeoffs, in order to offer such a powerful phone at such a low cost. I am more than happy to get a less impressive camera, if the performance, speed and screen are at (or extremely close to) a flagship level.
To each, their own. You have mid-range phones which focus more on higher quality cameras, but their SoCs are mediocre (Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, Dimensity 6100). There is something for everyone.

Unfortunately, the quality of the camera is very, very poor. The photos look worse than those from the redmi note 10 pro. Xiaomi, shame on you.

My Poco X6 arrived today and after a whole day of usage and thinkering, I can safely say this is the best smartphone I've ever had.
It is insanely fast with the Mediatek 8300 CPU + 12 gigs of RAM, HyperOS provides a great user experience and so far I haven't encountered any issues. The speakers on this thing are LOUD and I love it.
The pre-installed screen protector and case included in the box are also a nice addition and saves me hassle to look for other case or worry about screen protection (I am extra careful with my phone screens anyway).
The only average thing is the camera, but I am not a phorography geek, so the quality is more than enough for me. Will have to get used to the no SD card slot, but i regularly back up my data on an external SSD anyway.
I am amazed on how much stuff Xiaomi packs in their phones for the price they charge (paid £350 for the X6 Pro).
This thing feels and behaves like a flagship phone and I can't be any happier.

justasmile, 17 Jan 2024Because of PWM? LOL. Not even Sony fits you.If you want a good phone you need to go back a couple of generations.
The new crap that's being released by most manufacturers is missing a lot of essential features.
Hey if you want to pay more for less features that's your choice.
I for sure ain't getting fooled anymore by these con artists.
Xiaomi used to be good a couple of years ago but now they're going down the samsung route AKA going downhill fast.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2024Im gonna buy this phone next week, just asking can it keep ... moreI would suggest you to wait for at least a month before buying this phone. As a poco x3 pro user I cannot guarantee about the reliability of poco phones but I hear that it will receive 3 Android updates and 4 security updates. But u should just wait to see if there is any motherboard problem coming like in past.

Why this phone is not not listed in Google's supported devices list here https://storage.googleapis.com/play_public/supported_devices.html
Any idea who/when this will get listed in the above link? Without it's listing in the above link many corporates won't allow it to be used for 'work' profile (or Blackberry services) :(

its like smartphone operators have a agreement to not give the consumer all the features they want, like why on earth would they gimp a new device the m6 pro with a older rom, and no 3.5mm jack and no expandable, yet the m6 pro has more features yets lack a tiny bit off the cpu, and a tiny bit off the display.. and apple is the number 1 smartphone market share, makes no fking sense

Optional, 15 Jan 2024You are missing one of the strongest points of SD Memory ca... moreThis is such a non argument. You can just as easily transfer data using your charging cable in any device since USB A port is far more common than an SD card reader. There are also plenty of USB flash drives that have both type C and type A connections. The main aim of SD card is providing additional storage but phone companies realized that most people don't even end up consuming 128GB (keyword being most, don't tag me with how your internal storage is full).
Plus SD card is slower than internal memory so it can only be used to store images and videos which people just backup on their PCs. That is more secure anyways since mobile phones always have a risk of breaking or getting stolen. 512GB is overkill for the general public. They won't miss the SD card slot, making it a niche. So phone manufacturers can remove it to insert better features that are more relevant.
I don't get why the "some people" who need an SD card slot are whining about it under a midrange phone whose entire aim is to provide high performance in lowest cost possible. Should not you be complaining about this in flagship phones that cost a fortune and have no need of cost cutting, but still choose to remove it?

pl2rts, 15 Jan 2024No they are not. I have tried the dongles and these are not... moreThen you are not buying a decent dongle. Period. Any good dongle not only allows you to connect your 3.5mm wire to usb type C, but it also has an inbuilt DAC which makes your headphones/earphones sound better. Apple dongle is a good option for less power hungry stuff and it only costs ₹900 (just $9 dollars in USA). Plus most midrange phones have below average headphone jacks so you need a DAC anyways. If you don't care about sound quality, wireless is the way to go.
