Stable video with ZERO focus hunting ("micro jitters") in 1080p60 and 4K30 day or night is essential.
A battery life that truly lasts the whole day (or even more) is essential.
A very decent, more-than-average, not-so-flagship chipset for everyday tasks is essential.
Stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos with custom EQ is essential.
Ability to disable ads or "recommendations", uninstall first-party apps is essential.
Apart from being a compact device...Can i get these in the Poco X7 Pro?

    A good selfie cam is also a must with wide angle, accurate colours and no skin toning beauty mode.

      I want a compact phone with very decent, above average camera system for everyday use (accurate colours, good white balance, fast autofocus, great dynamic range, low light, no focus hunting when recording a video, etc.), very decent and above average performance (not for gamers) and a battery life that lasts a full day or just over.

And they are paid by these companies to review their phones so their insights are not entirely impartial. Are you not aware of these?

            14t is sluggish, chipset isn't very good..drains its battery fast and doesn't justify the price tag.
            Battery is small for the garbage software on top and it's one Android version behind already..
            Also the praised Leica camera is just.. well, let's say you can go and see pictures and digital postprocessing of those. Also xiaomi 14 series has huge probability of foggy lens..
            Also full of bloatware and ads, which aren't stopping when disabling suggestions (unlike Poco?!). German forums are crazy about that..
            Android Auto is a hit and miss, 90% claim it doesn't work.
            BT has issues, keyboard reported not fitting in some position/orientation (gui problems)...all points to phone not optimized/tuned for miui/hos1/hos2 updates and evolution...

            All being said, x14 is more like a trap imho, especially for that price. I'd never prefer x14 against Samsung A5x series even if X14 is cheaper. Again, take it with a grain of salt.

            X7 pro doesn't have those issues. Battery, drain, performance, stability .. people report all working and stable. Even I, as a conservative user that doesn't tolerate phone faults/crashes/misbehaving am torn apart between X7 pro and A56 incoming... Idk what I'm going to decide at the end..

Somehow x7p turn off hdr in 60fps (4k/1k). pretty stable cam. awesome in low light, use 60 fps to have a better Stabilization in low light. UW camera and selfie just ok, max at 1080p 30 fps and no hdr. u can really tells the difference between main cam and uw or selfie. it just the main cam have really good sensor than uw and selfie cam.

Your face dog car but the camera not really good + HyperOS 2 Android15 just wow better than iPhone :)

                      This may sound like a stupid question but can someone explain to me (convince me) that a Poco X7 Pro cameras - main, ultrawide & selfie are better than:
                      S20 FE 5G
                      Moto G84 5G
                      Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G
                      OnePlus 9
                      Redmi Note 14 5G
                      Any advice please?

Not... moreDespite all my discounts from Samsung i'm gearing towards NOT getting any device from them for now. Unless the A36 or A56 surprise us. Deal breakers for me is the overall size and weight (I would still say a Pixel 8/9, Xiaomi 14/15 or even a Moto Edge 50 Neo IMO are perfect sizes for me), fast charging (45w?) and yes the cameras; a decent/ mid of the road chipset would suffice for me. it has to support either Dolby Atmos or universal spatial audio with a bit of bass and hi-res audio support are also deal breakers for me. I'm happy to wait what Nothing will bring out to the table too. With my aforementioned "requirements".
                          I'm not into modding or ADB but may I ask why did you say the Poco X7 Pro is a better deal than the 14T? Please explain.

                              Anybody who is used to always-on display bought this phone and is happy with it? It's perfect for me except the AOD, it's very convenient to check the time and notifications not sure how much I will like having a phone that doesn't have it.

Not 3a, that's not going to meet your expectations, 3 should be the successor of 2 (2 had a snapdragon 8.1 so definitely not a midrange phone!).

                                  I wouldn't pay lots of money for pixels..for one i don't consider naked android worth so much and second..cpu is really underpowered for those money.. that's my opinion of course, not enforcing it in any way!

                                  I'd stay away from 14T.. poco x7 pro is better in my opinion, if you can swallow Chinese software and adb cleanup/modding...

                                  I'm kinda in same boat, waiting to see nothing releases and Samsung a56.. before i decide if i should get any of those or simply buy s25ultra and close the case for next 2-3 years, despite not being excited about s series..

                                      The Pixel 9's price has reverted back to it's original selling one so i am reverting back to Xiaomi 14T again as price is down to £399 which is at its cheapest. Comparing it with a Nord 3 in many ways it is better.
                                      If only i could get my head around the supposed focus hunting issues when taking a video.
                                      Any other alternatives for the 14T? (nothing bigger or more expensive)
