And how much difference does it make when compared to a phone with / without it?
Is it that important or are you just refuting hype from internet?

So far the only ones i know of are Fiio KA series...
The more expensive brands and dacs are good, heard some, but way out of my budget.. chord, collibri, pro ject, etc...

Does the Poco X7 pro have a good camera compared to the 14t?

As a Poco X6 Pro user, my experience with HyperOS 2 has been underwhelming. The only noticeable improvement over HyperOS 1 is the upgraded and smoother animations. Beyond that, HyperOS 2 brings no significant enhancements that improve the experience for end-users like me.
One of the most disappointing changes is the gallery application, which has lost some features that were previously available. Furthermore, my device, the Poco X6 Pro (global variant), lacks any AI-powered features, despite the extensive hype surrounding HyperOS 2. This is particularly frustrating given that the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC in my phone is capable of supporting on-device AI functionalities. Yet, Xiaomi has not utilized its capabilities, nor have they provided cloud-based AI features.
As a loyal Poco user since 2018, with four Xiaomi phones in my household, this trend of neglecting mid-range and budget devices is disheartening. It feels as though Xiaomi and Poco prioritize only their flagship devices, leaving users of more affordable models with a lackluster experience. The hype around their software updates often doesn’t translate into tangible improvements for the majority of their user base. Instead, premium features are reserved exclusively for those willing to invest in their high-end phones, whereas similar or better features, including AI features are available on budget devices from other much smaller brands.

I'm trying to replace my old Moto G84.
I'm looking for a phone that has better displays (HDR support, sharper/ more dense ppi, brighter display and up to 2K resolution on Youtube), slightly better batteries, better chipset, slightly better performance (faster UFS, RAM, etc) and better camera system.
Does that fit the Poco X7 Pro? or an older phone like the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is sufficient enough?

ashrobb, 27 Jan 2025It is an issue, yes. The RAM management in the 8GB version ... moreI just saw in German forum something weird and wanted to share it:
Apparently someone with Poco saw that the battery saver option "restrict background activity" behaves totally opposite of what he configured. Setting the option to restrict actually allows him to keep that game in background running.. setting to allow- restricts the app...

What if.. can you test that? Would be easy and.. funny if that proves to be true, but...

SoraF, 26 Jan 2025Hi, when you play games and switch to a different app,and w... moreIt is an issue, yes. The RAM management in the 8GB version is atrocious. I recommend you leave a comment to them in the Feedback app so their developers are aware of all the people having issues with it.
Neither my Xiaomi Pad 6 or the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G I come from have such issues, and those had 8GB of memory as well. So, it must be some software bug. My wild, totally unconfirmed guess is the phone is using the memory limits/thresholds of the 12GB versions, so it obviously panics frequently with 8GB and constantly kills/reloads apps in the background.
Changing virtual ram does not make any difference, since that is a marketing gimmick. Leave feedback to them so they can fix it with software updates.

iSheep, 25 Jan 2025I still don't get why removing a 3.5mm jack from so-ca... moreProbably makes it cheaper to waterproof the phone... most likely it's to sell wireless audio.
All the gear needed to drive headphones asides from the headphone jack is already there.
Although given I'm too stubborn to buy wireless and hate everything about it the only way this is annoying is when you want to charge and listen to something. Lo and behold I have a second phone and the speakers on redmi turbo phones are great.
