MisterTrueRomance, 03 Feb 2025F6 Pro, no discussion.X7 pro no discussion, longer support android 15 out of a box, camera is same shit, x7 pro is at least 100 EUR cheaper for same storage memory combo. Battery life is much better on x7 pro, except proximity sensor (virtual works flawless on x7pro) is basically same device.. Go F7 pro at least and forget F6 series.

AnonD-1187531, 12 Jan 2025The X8 pro beats the OP13 hands down. Even the ordinary X8.I'm sorry, WHAT!? How could pocos midrange beat a literal flagship? Plus, you havent even seen most of the X8s yet.

Having had a 12 Lite, Redmi 10 Pro and Galaxy A34 in the past and now having a Moto G84 since last year I'm looking to upgrade
Is the Poco X7 Pro a "worthy" upgrade over those phone i mentioned in terms of battery life, better day-to-day performance (not so much w/ benchmarks) and better main, ultrawide and selfie cameras?
Or would you recommend something else? (not looking for a ore expensive or bigger device)

Rylix, 07 Feb 2025I got this phone two days ago. I'm playing Honkai Star... moreYou can get a cooler for it. The game that heats the most of the Poco X6 series imo is that game you played. I guess, it's expected on Poco X7 series as well. I used a cooler for it HSR all high and the temp no longer heats up so much.

I got this phone two days ago. I'm playing Honkai Star Rail on maxium settings and with wild boost enabled. I noticed that the phone overheating so I decrease the game settings from very high to high which didn't solve the issue. You can play games on it for like 20 minutes max before the back panel starts burning your fingers and frying your battery. After that the game starts to lag and basically you need to turn off the game and the phone itself to let it cool down....

DerLuke, 03 Feb 2025Mate, did you have a chance to test that on 8GB Version? ... moreYeah, that's an option as well on each app's behaviour. But even if you turn it off, it still aggressively kills apps in the background especially when it's a ram-eating games such as Wuthering Waves, Honkai: Star Rail, Dragon Raja, etc. RAM Expansion is the way to go for 8GB users but some say this is a bug on your variants so let's hope it's fixed soon.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2025"Changing virtual ram does not make any difference, si... moreSee how swap partition works on Linux as it's the same thing. It won't warn the nand down significantly by writes over time as most of the time it won't do anything serving as postpone only when need be (and even then only partial) swap. It helps when OS needs to chuck high amount RAM allocation fast as cold starting new game while having other one active in (RAM) in background even if they could fit physically preclaiming it would be slow. As you have one with more storage you can set it to max and forget about it.

ashrobb, 27 Jan 2025It is an issue, yes. The RAM management in the 8GB version ... more"Changing virtual ram does not make any difference, since that is a marketing gimmick. Leave feedback to them so they can fix it with software updates."

                                  - I guess I am with you slightly? I mean, expansion of the virtual ram did help. I do have a friend that got the same phone as I am but different variants. I got the 12GB while he has the 8GB due to financial troubles on his end. We play the same games but his no longer kills the apps on the background since his virtual ram is on for about 4GB expansion while mine isn't on. If it's off, it kills it aggressively. So I guess turning the ram expansion on does help quite a bit but I guess bad in the long term? What is your thought on my experience. We did test them on Wuthering Waves and Solo Leveling: Arise but it doesn't kill/reload MLBB.
