Why does it say X7 Pro has a virtual proximity sensor while the exact same Redmi Turbo 4 has a hardware one? Is this the fact or is it a mistake here?
I know the battery differ across regions, but this too?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2025Thing is, hardware proximity sensor is quite rare on $300-$... moreNothing CMF, Nothing Phone (2a), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus.
All these 3 are cheap/mid phones, but with weak chipsets (2 big cores). But I'm almost there that I will just buy an Odin 2 and a cheap nothing phone as my daily driver, but then I'm at an amount that I might as well just buy a Poco F6 Pro that has one.
It shouldn't have to be this way. It doesn't cost much to put a proximity sensor in a phone. Chatgpt quotes $2.50:
"Total Manufacturer Cost Difference:
Hardware: $0.60–$2.50
Virtual: ~$0.10 (or effectively free if no changes to hardware are needed).
Manufacturers mark up costs significantly to maintain profit margins, often by 2x to 5x the production cost increase."
I would gladly pay 10$ more. But brands doesn't think we even need 3.5mm, so I don't expect brands to be reasonable anymore, sad really.

Anonymous, 02 Jan 2025Slightly improved performance ~20% single core plus ~40% multicore, ~20% better graphics and around 40% more efficient.
That's not slightly improved... That's a pretty good improvement.

T, 03 Jan 2025Interesting, I've never had any throttling nor heating... moreSame here. I got like CODM, PUBM, OPBR, Standoff 2, Warzone, Wuthering Waves. I am not sure what that bot even plays for the D8300 to overheat and throttle. Prolly like Ultra HD 18+ videos being in split-screen and others are set in a window with 2k quality or more.
