The mobile network connectivity, mobile data download speed, in-call sound quality, GPS lock acquisition speed etc have not been touched. Please cover such things also. It is all well and good to keep on about the processor, but what about basic phone fundtions?

Dan, 26 Aug 2018Well said, especially the low advertising/marketing cost.Thank you Dan

The mi5s I'm currently using is pretty good with performance and camera, but i like to upgrade it to this phone.

The Mi3 was a sturdy piece of tech but Mi5 was horrid. It could get bent while kept in your pocket and get a nice crack falling from a short height as well. Esp. Poco with its plastic back... people should be careful. Maybe the kevlar version is better.

It got MIUI 9 update early this year, over 5 years after its initial release date in 2012. The phone has not slowed down with age.

MIUI's RAM management is too aggressive for my tastes. This is especially true for older devices with 1 or 2 gigs of RAM. This is my only major gripe.

am currently using redmi note 4x...and am really considering this phone.
My biggest query is signal reception....my note 4x lacked band 20 and was average in reception( live in a weak network coverage area0

I dropped numerous of times and not one scratch or dent is seen on the build or screen. You really have nothing to worry about if you want to buy Xiaomi products. This will be my next phone as well in a few months as well.

Hey GuyZz Does Anyone Know What Time This Phone Is Launching In Malaysia?

It seems to be a very good option. Nice looking physical size. Good pixel size in rear camera with an optimum aperture size. Good luck to Xiaomi.
By the way I am still wondering how much it would have added to cost if Xiaomi provides a rear camera with OIS ?
