Again you are wrong because both devices are low-end, do not be fooled, the Redmi 10C is not mid-range, the only mid-range thing is its processor, the rest is low-end until its poor optimization leaves it the same in performance to a Snapdragon 460 hahaha, even the crap of the Samsung A13 is much more premium with its weak Crappynos 850, in any case an entry level device would be the Redmi A1, Redmi 10A, Samsung A03 Core

rsdt, 04 Jun 2023You are wrong moto e40 gets 210K on AnTuTu and AnTuTu score... moreThen maybe you have a defective Redmi 10C. How come mine works fine and is not slow at all? I have at least 40GB of apps installed and around 17 tabs in Brave opened right now.

There was not a single time my phone felt slow at all.

It seems you have no proof to any of your claims, just wishful thinking and mental gymnastics. Your irrational and biased hate for MIUI is clouding your judgement and perception on reality.

That Moto e40 is not budget, it's entry level. With such a joke CPU and eMMC, it can't compete with Snapdragon 680 and UFS, stop living in fantasyland, MIUI is not slow at all, maybe it can be on the worst Xiaomi phones, but so is stock Android on the worst phones.

Even Android 2.3 Gingerbread was slow on my Samsung Galaxy Pocket back in the day, that phone was the weakest in the line at that point. Now Android is bigger, more bloated and unoptimized and everyone's solution is to "just throw more power at it". And 10C has plenty of power to run Android 12 comfortably and satisfactory, now if I had Xiaomi 12T or 13, it would have been an overkill, but that's expected from the strongest hardware in their line.

Moto e40 is just the bare minimum just to have all the components that comprise a mobile phone. If they could skip on putting a CPU at all, they would, too bad there needs to be AT LEAST SOME CPU...

So Android 12 is officially the last Android upgrade for Redmi 10C? Because there is no mention of it getting Android 13 and it has already received one major software upgrade.

rent free, 29 May 2023Well yes, miui isnt a slow rom by default, but it is not ba... moreMaybe it is better to have a custom rom and underclocked CPU, but my Redmi 10C requires to be recharged every 2.5 days and I use it for hours every day, mostly for watching TV series and movies.

I have to recharge my phone no more than 3 times per week, sometimes 2 times. It's much better than my old Nokia 3.1 Plus with stock Android One that I had to recharge 4-5 times a week when it was brand new and 7 times a week when it was 3 years old.

So for me compared to stock Android, MIUI has not been neither slower nor faster, neither more battery inefficient nor battery efficient. It's the phone and its hardware conponents that matter and the Redmi 10C hardware is just better than that of Nokia 3.1 Plus.

Redmi 10C scores 248K on AnTuTu and Moto E40 scores 123K, the difference is so big that they aren't even close.

Mbm, 31 May 2023After two weeks of usage screen already has scratches (so w... moreI use mine since August 2022 and none of that happened to me. It's completely imbecilic to put your phone against coins on either side and expect nothing to happen to it when coins rub into it constantly.

If you want something durable, get yourself a granite slab in the shape of a phone and use that next to coins in your pocket.

I go running almost daily, but I leave my phone at home. If I had to absolutely take my phone with me, there are several ways to do that, like getting one of those arm straps for your phone.

My notifications keep showing just fine, if you have some issues with software, you should do a complete factory reset from entering the recovery mode.

And remember, my young grasshopper, the problem is not in the phone, it lies solely within you.

After two weeks of usage screen already has scratches (so what gorilla glass?) And notification drop down menu stopped working. Cannot see notifications. Back cover started to peel off. Terrible garbage quality. I bought it because of screen protection because I do sport everyday and it is just a joke. Cant even protect from coins in pocket.

Using redmi note 7 lavender rn switched to custom aosp rom (evo x rom + nexus kernel) and finetuned cpu doesnt do anyting shit to improve overall performance, but gives you the best battery life possible.

Got the phone as a gift as my previous Redmi Note 4 battery is dying. So I will mainly compare it against that 6 year old phone.
-Body uses carbon lookalike texture on the plastic back. Feels good, certainly not the slipperiest material ever. Sides are curved, feels very good in the hand.
-The 720p screen is okay (for a 720p screen). Brightness is okay, reading text is rough coming from using a 1080p screen (for the last decade...). Reading text gets worse the brighter the screen needs to be.
-Speakers is a bit strange. Ringtone loudness is way louder than the Note 4. But when listening to a spoken video and turning up the audio until its quality is becoming very bad you end with about the same loudness for both phones. Single speaker!
-Camera. Major quality improvement when using gcam mod. It's almost laughable bad how the stock camera app performs compared to it. No root needed, treat yourself to it if you haven't done yet.
-Battery. No sim in it yet, so no real usage.
-WiFi. Bit mixed bag. iperf3 test at my desk: 2,4Ghz data throughput 40Mbit/s while Note 4 does 20Mbit/s. 5Ghz 75Mbit/s vs 40Mbit/s. Signal strength (range) on 2,4Ghz about the same, on 5Ghz far better than (the metal housing?) Note 4
-CPU/RAM combo. 3GB version here. What the h... were they thinking? I even got a few system apps uninstalled/disabled with adb. The phone favorite process is swapping. It's not like its killing every app in the background but it's just so busy swapping. This seriously will be the main battery killer.
-Headphones. Oioioioioi.. I'm pretty sure this is the worst headphone output I've ever experienced. I will have to find out how Bluetooth processes audio because if its using the same chip as the headphones I will have to dig up my early 2000's mp3 player for music..
