Got my 10C in August 2022, the only problem I had with it was in November my phone entered a boot loop state and I sent it for repairs under warranty and it was fixed, since then that problem is gone. I read that was a global problem with either 10Cs or Xiaomi in general.
Now another problem appeared, but I don't know where the fault lies. Sometimes when I try to download or update apps on Google Play they get stuck in "pending..." state and it resolves itself on its own. It's happening much less than before so I don't know if it's Google or Xiaomi to blame.
But besides this, I have enjoyed this phone a lot. I think it's impossible to not have any problems with a $180 phone and I enjoy its speed and responsiveness. I don't take any photos, unless necessary so I don't care about the camera. At first, I was obsessed with installing Gcam to get better photos and it really makes a difference, but then I stopped caring and have been using the default camera app and it's taking decent photos. To those whining about camera quality, I have this to say: If you want professional pictures, spend $2000 and buy a professional camera and shut up. xD

Redmi 9 from year 2020 is getting Android 13 but Redmi 10C from last year isn't getting it?? What gives? And why Android 11 as a start??

Camera is not Bad, screen looks good, loudspesker not much high, even front camera is not that Bad, for the low price is decent phone.
I have it 5 days ago and i've notice the battery lows a little bit fast. I updated to android12 and still notice that, battery low a bit fast.

it was very bad to me ...i used it 2 months ..
it was hard to use simple actions like split screen and control setting very bad plus the game turbu was not working and more mistakes..the launcher is very stupid though the processor was nice..
Samsung a23 has same processor but a very smarter phone and full newest software to use easily...

TL;DR: Best "new" dirt cheap phone is a 10c, Spark or Redmi ("new" as in agency. Used phones will be better, but if you're afraid of scam, you're better with this)
Look, I'm no expert or something, but if you're going to buy a brand new phone in a $150< USD budgett, and you're going to use it for daily (not moving high end games, althought I'm right behind a dude running CoDmobile on a Spark, and it's pretty solid) I'd recommend the 10c, both this and the Spark 10c, on the 128/8gb (for the Spark 10c) and the 64/4 (for the Redmi 10c, althought you can get the 128/4gb for a few bucks more, but for that you should get a better phone)
The main difference between the models is camera (13 vs 50, both cheap but will do the work), RAM (8+8 vs 4. Trust me, you're going to notice the memory fusion in the other model), storage (pointless because microSD, but 128 vs 64) and SoC (unisoc vs snapdragon).
Choose what suits you between storage and RAM vs SoC and camera, and there you go

With the recent update the OS can be upgraded to Android 12, The batter can hold up quite nice and it seems to charge pretty well. Even if you only use the 10watt charger included in the box. It can play Codm on Ultra High graphics easily. But I recommend going Medium or low for maximum efficiency.
