Xiaomi sells 1 million Redmi 12 series smartphones in India in a month
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G in India on August 1, and in their first sale on August 4, the company sold 300,000 units of these smartphones, achieving a milestone of INR 3 billion ($36 million/€33 million) in sales. Now, the Chinese phone maker has announced it sold over 1 million Redmi 12 series smartphones in India since their first sale in the Asian country.
However, Xiaomi didn't reveal how many of these 1 million units include the 4G and 5G models. The Redmi 12 4G was launched in India with a base price of INR9,999 ($120/€110), and the Redmi 12 5G at INR11,999 ($145/€135).
The Redmi 12 4G and 5G are similar smartphones with different processors, storage types, and the number of rear cameras.
