This is a good phone. But there is always room for improvement in software side. In screen casting, this phone ask Location, once connected then you can disable location. But this is a software glitch. I hope Redmi developer will remove this unnecessary permission as samsung.
Second is auto call answer should be in speakerphone mode by default. Any body who can pick up phone, make answer call too. Basic purpose of this feature forfeited by not putting auto answering call in speakerphone mode. I hope both problems Redmi developers will fix.

a real hotspot device is better than smartphone
Because
1. Smartphone have a VERY LOW power transmit and receive. Because if it use too much power, it will have too much radiation for our brain.
2. semi-Portable Wifi Hotspot device have about 2x-4x better signal because they can use more power to transmit and receive.
3. But the big Wifi hotspot that can't be pocketed, have an even better signal quality. Because it allowed to use a bigger power than semi-portable.

Haven't logged in Google or miui
Deleted all bloatwares and removed all unnecessary permissions for MI apps
Sideloaded Firefox, Gboard, lawnchair launcher (miui is laggy af at homescreen too)
Great hotspot for my mi pad 6 and iPad pro
Have a 2.5 day battery life while milking ~8GB Jio 5g per day
And Sd 4 gen 2 has such a snappy x61 modem
The phone has never got warm despite such heavy hotspot usage

I was hyped about this one because it as snap 4 gen 2 but when I watch gameplay vids tis the same as Redmi 9 which I previously had. After some thoughts I'll prolly buy iphone SE 2.

I bought this phone first day of sale 4th August. I was thinking to make it primary phone but I realised this should be my secondary phone. Charging take around 2 hours, how come can be fast charging? My old Samsung S5 and Motorola Edge 20 Fusion both do hv 4k video recording but in this price FHD is justified. Call auto accept feature is good but it does not allow auto speakerphone. We hv to do it manually. I gave this phone to my dad who is 90+ years old. He was saying if it possible in next update they fix it auto call receive in speakerphone mode. That would be wonderful job. It will help me and my dad. Google photo & Editor is better than Gallery and photo editor. First, I did hard rest around 2.5 gb cleaned. Then uninstalled unwanted apps/bloatwares etc. It sucks more battery even in 60 Hz. I tried both 60 & 90 Hz settings. It support Miracast but initial stage asks location later you can disconnect it. Location sucks battery too. I always keep location off. If anybody want to buy primary phone in budget segment, I think Samsung A34 can be helpful. 4k recording. 4 years OS update & 5 years security update. This series "A" is exactly in budget segment of flagship series "S". Both premier series.

I bought it on the first day of mobile sale, After buying the mobile it turned off and on twice in half a day and I returned it to where I bought it for replacement.

The bank apps stops working randomly cause it says the phone security is out of date. Long term updates are the king of smartphone world. Thats why more and more companies are increasing their update policy. Stop recommending dumb ideas to people. Everywhere i see comments like this "buy s20fe from 4 years ago". There is a reason it's being sold for cut off price cause it's end of its life cycle. When you are buying electronics always try to buy the best hardware and software experience available at that time for your budget. The technology advancement is too fast to buy an old hardware."Technology is like giving birth, you don't want to birth a 10y old"

But you forgot to read the specs before posting: the screen is over 500 nits. You would have to be legally blind to claim it was not bright enough.

Just bought this phone(6gb variant) , disappointed by the screen quality, its really dull and lacks contrast, doesn't get bright either feels like I will have to use it at 80-100% brightness indoor. My 5yr old phone(exactly same price) ips screen looks much better than this.
Daily task is smooth, have headphone jack, fast fingerprint reader, camera is meh, full of bloatware and integrated ads in OS.
Conclusion: Just wanted a replacement for my 5yr old phone, i don't take serious photos nor do I game and wanted something for general task, music and video playback. The Screen quality is a disappointment.
