    MediaTek changes the name of the Helio G85 from time to time and never improves anything internally, first it was called Helio P65, then it became Helio G70, then Helio G80/G85 and finally in Helio G88 it is necessary to change the name again and include it in the Helio G9x series. without changes

Smartphone manufacturers are purposely recycling SOCs and keeping the CPU speeds at this price point from very low to low middle range. I had thought around 500k AnTuTu scores and just under 1000 Geekbench single core scores would be the norm at this stage, but no, they are artificially keeping speeds down in order to upsell their 300+ USD phones.

            A.C, 03 Jun 2024Wouldn't call this a meaningful update from the Redmi ... moreThey could've just added an microsd slot on the second highest model, Note 13 Pro 5G, instead of making an army of Note 13 4g, Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro 4G. All of the latter units both have jacks and sd card slots.

            And best insult of all, those released later than the Note 13 Pro 5G will probably get 1 more year/android version update than itself.

            Seen that thing happen with Note 12 lineup where the trash ones will get Android 15 but not the Pro models.

                        Lol why are they calling the processor the "G91 Ultra" when it has worse specs than even the G90, older cores, older and weaker GPU lol

                              Wouldn't call this a meaningful update from the Redmi 12 to be honest. The only upgraded things here are the charging speed and the main sensor, but they cut the ultrawide lens, the chipset is practically the same. Overall I don't think it's worthy.
