*The UI is brilliant.. You will fall in love with it, over the stock Android..

I have been using this phone for close to 2 months now.. This is my honest review -
Previously, I was using a xolo q700i..and I can say, this phone is a huge improvement over it.. The display is fantastic, all my colleagues have been impressed by the display and the fluidity of the menu transitions and icons etc.. The camera is brilliant.. There's nothing to compare at this price point with this phone.. Even my friend who uses an LG L90, has said that this phone's pics are better.. The music quality is awesome.. But I feel thee speaker volume is a bit less.. But listening to music via earphones is very nice..
My oly gripes with the phone are the heating issues.. It has been solved by the update.. But it still heats up slightly.. I guess that's normal considering what it packs via hardware..
And the weight.. It is quite bulky as compared to the q700i..but it looks like it's built to last.. Which is good considering I won't be upgrading for at least another year or so..
I also felt that, yes the battery does drain out fast.. I think that comes down to the screen size and ppi..
There are occasional lags, but that's not so bothersome as to restart the phone an all.. Also, you can reduce the transition speed and animation speed Internet the developer options, which makes it much faster..
The UI is brilliant.. You will fall in love either it, over the stock Android.. Because they have done a lot of customizations with it..
So guys, Go ahead, and purchase it.. You won't regret it one bit.. It is really that good.. Hope this has helped.. Cheers

Flashed mokee ROM on my redmi 1s.
-No heating and battery drain issues now..:)
-overall performance is increased
but the speaker volume got reduced.

Hello, this phone still gives heating issue even after downloading the firmware software of 514MB. Rest all features are great and works fine. Will post again if there is any issue faced further. Till now it's amazing excluding the heating issue. Thnx

Once you get the phone, update the v45 global update from Xiaomi and the heating issue will get resolved. I have been using the phone since last 2 months and i haven't faced any call drop issues. In a 6k budget, Redmi is the best phone available. Go ft it...

There i heating problem and not resolve after update.
Micromax service after sales is wrost go for moto e or increase the budget and take samsung core 2

I m not getting 3g Download speed above 5kbps and most of the time it remains around 1kbps what could be the problem.... And battery life is very low it drains half day maximum
