I got this phone 2 days back.phone is really good but it gets heated up very soon .I searched regarding this and came to know that heating issue is due to 1.6 GHz quad core processor.another issue is that its display is getting scratched.otherwise phone is handy

Guys please note Redmi 1s is cdma/GSM dual sim phone. 3g is on cdma only. GSM is 2g. So keep this in mind while ordering. Will suit only if your main usable number is cdma.

but can download wallpapers and other things
just themes are showing error and i cannot sign out also it says not connected to internet

I got dis handset 8/11/2014 via Flipkart. After unboxing and inserting sims, to my notice i found dat d back cover was nt properly fitted and one of the slots was loose. After several soft attempt i ws nt able to fit the back panel.
I call the customer care and explained everything. D next day i receive call from technical department saying dat dey will replace the cover with a new one within one week of time. I ask wat if it again fails to fit appropraitely. Dey mentioned dat dey will give an apology token of Rs. 500/-
Well m waiting for the change of back cover... !!!

I've just used my new Redmi 1s for a week and I am quite satisfied with it. This is not a high end model so don't expect too much from it. I bought this for RM377 (malaysian's currency) and that's very cheap for a quad core smartphone. Though not so thin but it feels very comfortable in my hand. The screen is large at 4.7" and it the perfect size to carry, unlike those 6" big phone.
Some people reported hot issue but I found out that it's not that quite true, it's hot but not too hot. My brother is using a Nokia Lumia 1520 and I have used it to take photo and within 15 minutes, the phone has become quite hot and uncomfortable to hold with.
One of the issue that I'm not quite happy with my Redmi 1s is that the screen scratched easily. I was carrying it in my jeans pocket and having done parked my car, I dropped the car key in the same pocket but I half way thru I quickly pulled it out as I realized the phone was in the same pocket. I though it would be alright because it was protected by Dragontrail glass and so no worry but when I reached home and clean the surface, I found a scratch. Not quite long but visible near the speaker. Upon searching online some people said that it was a Gorilla Corning Glass 2 and not dragontrail.

camera quality is very good , very handy , battery back up is more than a day for general user, at this price its unbelievable.
