we are purchase a REDMI 1S mobile from flipkart dated on 21st oct 2014.Phone condition condition is ok but it is too much heat from back side and duration on calling & talking period display are also heat so please suggest me what can i do if any soft update need then pl suggest me on my mail id singh.kaushal29@yahoo.com .

Best phione for Redmi 1s is phones.

Just got my redmi 1s on 25th Oct nd facing a issue like when press long any app icon at home screen, whole the screen just waves like water. So, like to know how to fix this and if anyone having the same prob.

The phone is working fine, if not totally lag free, and I feel apprehensive about updating the firmware to V45 as it may bring lots of bugs with it. Why fix something when it's not broke in the first place!

Not able to book Redme 1S today, tried 20 attempts but Out of stock finally, it seems like I am booking Tatkal Rail ticket in peak season.

Dear All,
Even after going through lot of feedbacks about heating problem, poor battery time etc. I purchased Redmi1s & am using it for the last two days. It came with V36 & I have not updated to V45 as yet due to apprehension that it would slow down the processor speed. I have been using smartphones of Samsung, LG for the last 4-5 years. I would like to share my experience:
There is no unusual heating at all. I do not play heavy games on mobile but, I have two personal & one corporate mail account. I have contacts & calendar on Outlook.com. All are syncing with phone with either 'Automatic Push' option or with 1 hour frequency. I use Whatsapp, facebook, imo etc. I am all the time connected to internet through either Wifi or 3G. The talking time in a day is 1-2 hrs. With this much of normal load on CPU, it remains quite cool. The battery was 30% after 15 hrs. but I had to put on charge at night. The heating or the battery life is as good or as bad as any other branded smartphone.
For office going persons, every smartphone is required to be put on charge every night so that it is ready for use for the full day. Otherwise, the battery once charged will not last for the full second day.
Some people have reported regarding not recognizing of SD card. I also felt so when I inserted SD card in phone on condition. However, I re-booted it & it was recognized at boot time.
Regarding earphones, Redmi1s can work well with any earphones Samsung, LG etc. except Nokia. Nokia earphones have different connections and are not inter-operable with other phones & vice versa.
OTG feature is working. I have tested with 8GB pen drive.
I request feedback about CPU speed with V45. Since I do not have any heating or battery drain issue, I would not like to compromise on performance by upgrading to V45.
