redmi 1s processor is not msm8228 because i have my xiaomi redmi 1s and its processor chipset is msm 8926 which is clocked only at 1.2 Ghz and just overclocked to reach 1.6 Ghz

Hi All,
There is an update today for Redmi 1S i.e. MIUI 5 JHCMIBL53.0 it makes the phone work smoother and removes a few bugs.
I have updated it and it runs pretty well.
But still waiting for MIUI 6 update which is yet to come, hope it will make the performance even better.

Hey all don't buy from ebay currently this phone is no longer available you will be amazed to know that this phone is being cloned by other manufacturer indeed this is a great budget phone i am using it since 8.5 months no problem yes first tym it heats but it is normal now mi is rolling out software updates by listening consumer feedback.. I am happy by buying this phn it's my first smartphone (android) previously i used only nokia but this phone changed my mind ..Proud to be redmi owner #makeinindia

Blah blah blah... moreno frills cpu is the answer for cpu heating bruh.there is a lot of forum regarding this phone.and there is alot of answers for all this crapy whines about this phone.to make it short,its a great budget phone.every phone/brand has their own flaws.dont buy this redmi 1s if you dont like it.simple as that! cheers!

You should read the warranty information.
I am also using the same phone for 6 months and it's best phone in 6000.

Nice budget phone got it through eBay @ 5000 after
4 days of usage my opinion is
Camera: One of the best part Its rear camera quality really competitive to 13 mp Sony or Samsung cameras its took awesome shots in daylight at night also it does its decent job
Front camera is OK for selfies tools decent shots in daylight conditions any way satisfies more than micromax or lava 5mp front cameras
Audio quality: Its gives a wonderful audio quality in head phones better than galaxy grand 2 buts peaker output is little bit low its not audible in crowds or public if u are a music lower its a good deal for u
Call quality also good in my area it having maximum coverage of signal mostly
So many useful features in the phone with out any third party application we can use all features
Anyway it have some con's also

Lot of features

Cons
Battery backup is average im using single Sim in single charge
up to 30 minutes phone call
3 hrs 2g internet on
20 minutes of light gaming
At medium brightness screen on time 4.5hrs
Battey backup is average only
Heating issue
It gets heat up under heavy usage of gaming camera when we use mobile under charging it heats up lot if u are light user u don't feel any heat
Vibration of the phone is little bit less
Conclusion
If u want a good mobile with low budget definitely go for it
If u want brand go for higher end phones with these specs at 15000 bucks high

Clarence, 17 May 2015Guys do not buy this phone, made mistake going by cheap rat... morehey clarence,been using this phone for over 6 months,the right apps should fix the issues plus there is alot of help from mi forums.any brand,there will always be flaws,if you know what i mean bro.this is a mid range high spec phone plus a cheap one.for a basic phone,getting around the internet,a moderate gaming,its a good catch.plus the camera,great quality,and the retinal display,damn boy,its great! this is my second phone from my iphone 6,redmi 1s is a great budget phone.cheers bro,enjoy it!
