8gb storage is enough, my girlfriend has one, and photos can be save in the sdcard . as well as the application . so its worth buying and the performance is good ..

Only 8 GB internal storage! Wake up people. Absolutely not worth the money. The apps can't be transferred to the external storage. If you want extra storage you need to buy it from the makers. You will run out of space once you take photos and install a handfull of apps. Then you'll regret having bought this device. Though you have 64gb external memory, sometimes you can't even transfer the photos by copying or cutting it. So you are stuck with the photos in the internal memory. The only way to transfer it - is to connect it with the PC. Like it was done in the 'good old days.' What's the point in having a 64gb card when you can;t transfer the files internally?! This is the major drawback. So if you are a 'appy' person, who also indulges in a lot of selfies and groupies, you'd soon get frustrated with this ridiculously outdated device and its 8gb storage option. (BTW forget about gaming.)

I updated to UI8 past week. Working fine. Never knew it supports OTG, connected just to check and guess what? It does.

1. download "mi flash"
2. install it...
3. download redmi 1s lestest tgz rom from google
(link-http://en.miui.com/a-234.html)
4. extract it
5.keep on reboot mode in ur mobile
(swithch off phone then press power+volume down button)
6. connect your mobile to pc by using usb
7. open mi flash
8. browse and select "extracted folder"(redmi tgz rom folder)
9. advance browse and select "flash_all_expect_data_storage"
10.then press refresh
11. if u got connection then press flash
12. wait till 100%
13. your mobile will reboot automatic..
14. don't switch off your mobile during update installing...
15 it will be automatic update mobile to miui 8...
