This is the best fucking phone ever.. It got a super stunning camera and the battery lasts like forever. If you are planning bying a phone go for this one, u wont regret

Try finding & deleting any incomplete files in your or any sd card to fix the problem.
It also happened to me earlier
If u want to check it out open security app>battery>battery use
It will show nearly 50% use by media server which is nothing but the system app which scans ur media files to generate lists and gets stucks by any incomplete file
Hope this solves the problem :)

Really love this phone, battery, sound, and camera is good. Now i'm using miuipro rom (miui russia). No bug in this rom and everything is running well.

I bought my redmi 2(8gb) last month. The best phone i ever used. Awesome touch response, screen quality, sound, everything. Dont listen to any of the bad reviews. I say just go for it.
And for those who have battery issues just need to fix the mediaserver bug. Or you can just update to MIUI 7.
Once updated to MIUI7, its better than ever. Battery life is more than expected. I love my redmi 2!
