One is for international use outside of Asia, the other is for Asian use only. The difference is in the chipset. I have this phone for 2 months and have traveled to the US twice when the phone automatically -as set- connects to a local carrier. It does work fine. If you are still under warranty, you may want to contact your supplier and/ or Xiaomi themselves to explain your issue and get it replaced with the right chip.

dios, 01 Oct 2015i cant up date my MIUI 16 to 6 or 7 very bad, my WA and BB... moreMy Redmi shows BBM and WhatsApp realtie, I had noticed that from MIUI 6. To update to MIUI 7 you should update manually, download the rom from MIUI official website.

ray, 30 Sep 2015very bad phone guygss..facing heating problem... and batter... moreI have also problem dude my xiomi get very heat and I would not put in my pocket. I gave it in service center two times but same problem repeat. I get it from care 2 month after now also hang my phone and charge very fast and dead very fast plzz give me solution
What company replace it? I brought it 4 month ago

i brought redmi 2 prime phone 2 week back but today suddenly my screen was seen with pink n white linings,can i know the reason .....u people r making fun of customers.

I bought it on 29th sep. complicated user interface. officially they say that redmi2 has 1GB RAM. but actual available RAM is 150-220MB RAM. I installed few light apps like aviary, camera 360 etc. I dont understood this issue. camera ok. when u take snap from a running object like train or bus, it produce a blurry type image (it dont matter either sports mode on or off.) I have samsung galaxy star (Only 2MP snapper). but it reproduce crystal clear image. redmi2 capture nice and clear images when you are close to subject. Redmi2 provide 2200mAH battery pack, which provide satisfactory performance. after moderate usage, 20% charge still remain(about 21hours). as my experience I score it as follows

BATTERY 6.8/10
CPU 7/10
LOOKS 8/10
DISPLAY 8/10
CONNECTIVITY 8/10
OVERALL PERFORMANCE 6.4/10
UI 7/10
SOUND 7.5/10
overall around 6k budget its a nice, elegant and sofistacated.handset.

jeet, 21 Sep 2015I broth this phone yesterday and I face a problem its heati... more dude its software problem..update software..i also face same problem at tha start.. now my redmi 2 prime not heat up.. next week miui7 may b realised i hope this update sort out ur problem..
